I'd bite your hand off for £5m. We could assemble a Championship (promotion to) standard squad with that quite easily IMO. £5M? IF, we did sell him, I'd imagine it would be closer to £1M than 5! I imagine it would be closer to £0 than £1m

Blackburn were impressed with Ellis last season and I'm told they had him watched a few times. Birmingham were another club to have scouted him. How much would be an acceptable offer for Ellis be ? £5m ? I believe he has a year left on his contract, depends if he has a release clause, realistically we would probably get 600-800k, which I don't think is enough. However, if we have something in the pipeline and Ellis's fee covers the cost of the new player I can see us accepting it. Who knows with rovers, I'd be extremely surprised to see us get over a mil for him He's got 44 in 176 games according to Wiki, that's a goal every 4 games, but season wise thats 6 goals a season average since 2011. He had an extremely good season this year comparable to the previous 6. Itd be a big risk to a championship team hence why I don't think it'll be a big figure But this is football and rovers and I could be wrong 😂

As a winger he's still an attacking player. Take the wing years out of it, in 4 years upfront he's got 13 conference goals, 7 league one goals, 21 league one goals, 41 goals in 4 seasons Is 10 goals a year in lower divisions going to get us a decent sum? - probably not. I don't think we can afford to let him go without replacement. We've coped with the loss of bodin and Taylor, but only got in the region of 750k for the pair, we can't do it again. DC has found some great players in the back 9, but since the loss of taylor we've had Luke James and Nicholls, who have a combined goal tally of one league goal. Likelihood is that we're going to have to spend and spend big and we'll to get a decent striker in, and I don't think we'd get decent money for harisson, not enough to buy someone better anyway?
