Was a cracker. I had Vaughn Jones on our table. What a character he is. The story about him winding up Boris 10 mins before kick off with a dead arm to make him play better was hilarious.

Vaughn looked in great shape unlike Punky! I had Pete Aitken, jolly nice chap. Enjoyed it.

I thought that Ollie was a bit naughty criticising the regime over the parting of the ways with Ian Holtby.
Whatever happened between him and the club should remain between them, or he needs to come out and say if and why he is aggrieved and give the club an opportunity to respond. For Holloway to make snide innuendos on his behalf was out of order and unnecessary.
Thought Geoff Twentyman was a superb MC.

The current board have their reasons for what happened. IH has signed a hush agreement so he can’t say publicly what happened Oldgas.

Another good reason why i would not want Ollie back in any position And more pertinently, the reason why he won’t be back in any position under the current board. Wow - he is a fan of the club and like all of us his opinion, thoughts and hurt from any time should be expressed if he wants... we all do it... That man was involved in close to 600 games for this club as manager/player... what an attitude towards a true legend of our club.

I just said he’s unlikely to be employed by the current board if he is criticising them like this. For the record, Ollie was the heartbeat of the Rovers team I grew up supporting and is undeniably a Gas legend. I have loads of respect and admiration for him.

With some the people we have seen at this club at all levels in the last decade haha... He wont ever be manager again we all know that but there is no one who has given to our club like him and that should demand the respect, especially when he just wants to vent a bit of honesty..

Ah, I see. I think you misread my original post. I never said I don’t want him at the club, just that I din’t thibk the current board would employ him.

Ollie obviously knows the ins and outs of what’s gone on. What he said was that from a people perspective “the current board have a bone to pick with me about the way IH was treated because he gave 25 years loyal service and worked his guts out for the club” He said we wouldn’t say never to coming back but he probably wouldn’t because it wouldn’t be the same.

1. I wouldn't want Holloway back at the club. He is not the "God" that some people think he is. Secondly I don't think there is anyone out there who hasn't got and idea about why Ian Holtby left.

When he made his less than oblique references to the removal of Ian Holtby, he inferred that he knew what had happened and his tone was extremely hostile towards the owners. As I doubt very much if the club have told him anything he must have got his information from Holtby. If, as Whoosh has said, Holtby and the club signed a confidentiality agreement, then Holtby has breached that agreement by confiding into the biggest blabber mouth in football. I maintain there was no need for Ollie to run off at the mouth, he could have thanked Holtby for arranging the event and left it at that. He took obvious, and mischievous delight in stating he had only attended to support "Holts" and follow up with a criticism of the club.
