I was quite impressed with the effort and of course the result.
We looked great in the first half and a bit desperate in the second, but kept plugging away and got a win. Very rare.
Kane proved how good he is.
Could this be a new era for England?

Only England could give away such a soft penalty and then have their attack wrestled to the ground unnoticed on several occasions. As DC would say, on to the next project....

Impressed with England tonight. Good work ethic, spirit, togetherness.
First 20 showed a glimpse of what they could do . Think they'll improve too. Kane rivals the best strikers in th game right now.

Great in the first 30 minutes when we should have been 2 or 3 up. Can't afford to miss these good chances. And what about Harry being pulled and tugged all over the place, how did they not see that? Best team won anyway.

Who are the people at Penalty Headquarters Moscow? Are they ex KGB? Harry Kane as Captain should have been protesting to the Referee for the 3 blatant wrestling incidents which were all worthy of penalties.

VAR has f**ked the game. Refs giving any tiny thing they see because they don't want to be undermined by a machine and the stuff they don't see ... they don't see.

Decent performance. With better finishing and referreeing we'd have been raving about a 4 or 5 nil win. Perhaps it's best we're not though...
As for VAR, what a dreadful system. What's wrong with letting referees do what they're paid for and accepting that lile players, sometimes they get it wrong. Annoying when it happens to your team (as it arguably did tonight) but controversy and arguing about the game afterwards is all part of the football experience. The worst thing though is how reviewing a goal can take away that sporting moment when a team is celebrating. Take the contentious last minute winner....let's have a look on tv and let the celebrations die down a bit. Madness. Where something is definite like has the ball gone over the line or not is fine, a good use of technology. Otherwise, let the ref decide.
Rant over. I feel better now!

Usually when we score I check that the ref or linesman isn't indicating offside or whatever before I cheer. I now have to wait so long in case of VAR referral that the enjoyment is tainted. Did anyone see the Sweden penalty, What if South Korea scored before the video ref called it in?

Was the VAR even working at the England match? I didn't see our hear any mention of it being used.

Was the VAR even working at the England match? I didn't see our hear any mention of it being used. FIFA need to have some accountability and answer questions after last nights ref and VAR shambles. Walker pen was soft but understandable but how can at least two rugby tackles be ignored? Collina should be put before the cameras and asked to explain the lack of VAR on those incidents. He should asked to give a clear answer to 'Can you rugby tackle an opposition attacker to the floor in your own box, making no attempt to watch or play the ball, and not give away a penalty?' It's important to know as we could draft in Lawrence Dallaglio for our next game if that style of challenge is now allowable!

Did anyone else get the familiar feeling of watching a game at the Mem?
Have most the play yet struggle to win..
Var acted like the lino on East Terrace, seeing what he wanted to see..
Goal in the last few minutes..

I thought England played well, it’s difficult to play against horrible niggly cheating bastards like them. They got exactly what they deserved NOTHING! I was watering myself when Kane scored the winner, the look of disappointment on the Tunisian players faces and the tears was great. I’m getting a big fat cigar ready for the Panama hammering.

Have you told the missus about her Monica Lewinsky role-playing night? There was an incident near the end that I feel the ref should control better. Their keeper was down injured, so the game stopped while he got treatment. It's one of those clever moves, as unlike an outfield player, the keeper doesn't have to leave the field. When it was all cleared-up, and he when was ready to go, Tunisia then made a sub. The Captain came off, and took an age to remove his Captain's armband, before handing it to another player, with another delay while they wrapped it around his arm. He even had time to fist-bump another player. Obvious time-wasting tactics, and it also stops the flow of the game. The whole incident took over three minutes out of the game. The sub should have taken place while the keeper was being treated. The ref has the right to stop this happening. He can refuse to allow a substitution to take place in these circumstances. Something for FIFA to improve upon.

There was a game in the Bundesliga this season, where an incident occured, the VAR team whispered into the ref's ear, and he blew his whistle to stop the game, where seconds later someone slammed the ball into the net when it appeared most of the players had stopped due to the whistle. In review, the VAR guys were over ruled by the ref who decided there was no offence, who then awarded the goal that had been scored, after he had blown his whistle to stop the game. Total and utter madness. VAR is just not ready in it's current format.

Not too surprised that refereeing decisions went against us, and will see more of the same no doubt.
If the refs of our games dont have heavier pockets then i would be surprised.
Russia wouldn't want us of all countries to win the World Cup there.
