I never vocally slag off our players, it was meant to be a joke because of the stick on here he gets, I still think he will come good😄 He will be our standout player this next season ! standing outside the Welly

I have been watching YouTube footage of Gavin Reilly, he has a low centre of gravity is quick off the mark and hits the ball early. Could be a very good signing

A player scores 15 over the course of 3 years and for the space of 5 short minutes on a heavily edited video with annoying music he looks a world beater. Call me old fashioned but I find the best way to ascertain the qualities of a certain player is to actually see him with my own two eyes.

The qualities shown in the YouTube footage are precisely what would have caught the eye of our management

Like most, I know nothing about Reilly other than the info posted on here.
Clearly hasn't set the world alight yet but DC must see something in him. Taylor hadn't done much before signing for us at a similar age.
237 appearances (146 starts) and 71 goals. Not bad but most of those goals were against opposition who would struggle to hold their own in National League South. However, he kept up his ratio of just under a goal every 3 games by scoring 11 league goals in 35 appearances last season in the Scottish Champiosnhip.
It's not a Lyle Taylor signing that we know will come in and do well but that's not to say he might not surprise us if he does sign.

His record of 29 goals in 156 appearances in League One isn't great and during the 16/17 season he scored the same amount in the league as Nichols - 10 goals.

I would rather spend some money on a young hungry player than someone like Taylor,he’s too similar to Ellis We need a cureton type player alongside Ellis to even think about top 6 (Telford could’ve been that man)

"Reilly led The Buddies' goalscoring charts in all competitions last season, netting 22 goals and averaging a goal every two games as he helped the side clinch the league title and return to the top tier of Scottish football." - Hopefully he can do this for us, sounds very promising!

He has done his research. Refers to 'Rovers' fans rather than 'Bristol'

It was 11 goals from 35 league appearances. The previous 16/17 season he only scored 1 goal in 22 games in the Scottish Championship and got 5 league goals in 50 appearances in total for the 15/16 and 16/17 seasons.

Another Jock, what do you reckon Jock? Well he hasnae worked with McGhee yet so he might still have a chance of being a decent footballer.
