Cureton cost us £50k if I remember rightly. Hayles was £250k to Stevenage Roberts £200k to Wolves Micky Evans (remember him!) cost £250k Martin Cameron £200k from Caley Thistle Ellington cost us £175k I think.
Just some of the big fees (for us) we have paid down the years. Some have been good and netted us a profit, some have been terrible.
My only concern is getting all these members of staff in is increasing our debt, it’s not actually being paid for, just being underwritten each year by Hani.

If you knew why Gasincider has not posted recently, you would hang your head in shame. Then again, perhaps you wouldn't. If there is something serious then I would hope that we would all be sympathetic, but we would need to be aware in the first place though.

If you knew why Gasincider has not posted recently, you would hang your head in shame. Then again, perhaps you wouldn't. The idea that people should feel shame for commenting on the manner in which a fellow poster has posted on the forum - even if that comment is one made in a light-hearted way - simply because that poster may or may not now have fallen victim to some unfortunate circumstance is nonsense. I'm sure any individual on here would be sympathetic to anyone's plight in face of illness or adversity - theirs or their family's - to suggest otherwise is firstly just a straw-man for your own, as yet unfounded, rumour-mongering and secondly, quite frankly an insult to the good nature of this forum community. Sorry, but bullsh1t like that really p1sses me off when it's quite clear that the overwhelming majority, if not all, of the people who use this forum are good natured individuals. With the apparent exception, now of course, of you.

He cost £350k from Barnsley and was absolutely useless. His claim to fame was scoring 2 goals against Man United. He missed the last minute penalty against the sh**, which ultimately in hindsight sent us down to the 4th Division for the first time in our history. W*nker 😉

This is spot on. Prior to Bosman, the only way a player could leave a club was for another club to buy him. We wouldn't pick up the likes of Sercombe, Rodman etc as we would have no choice but to buy them.
Now, clubs just sit back, wait for contracts to expire and pick up out-of-contract players. Paying a fee for anything but an under 23 will become rarer and rarer. The flip side of this is that you have to pay the players more.

So what was the £15m total debts/£3m annual debts spent on offices in London for the ALQ's? DC's doing a great job but to make the step from top 10 Div 1 side to a Championship side is going to take serious investment, unless the plan is just to wait for the 82er's to go bust and then join us back in Div 1! I know that spending on transfer fees excites supporters, but the point is - the Club are spending on the backroom and building under DCs supervision a team of experts who will produce and sign the players that BRFC need. Similarly in the Board room. At the same time spending money on the 'matchday experience' for supporters. As for Company debt more than half of that was used to cover off the previous administration and their adventures into stadium design and litigation. And as for 'serious investment' - easy to say when it is not your money isn't it? But unlike you, it seems, I consider £15 million to be serious investment. I don't think Mr L is likely to go bust - but I do wonder if he hasn't thought to himself " Why am I spending all my hard earned money just to tread water and stave off relegation" agree but more people will come if we got a good team doing well,I don’t give a sh** about the match day experience it’s what happens between 3-5pm that’s why I go

If you consider WHO manages the first team as important then I would hope that you would also think that his support staff are also important? ie; goalkeeper coach, defence coach, youth coach, scout, academy staff, etc ... much like getting the correct supervisors in place in a business...and they are the people who encourage and teach the 'workers' (players). I consider this excellent progress for our Club (provided the end product is achieved) - why? because many forget our 'workers' are in the main young impressionable not much more than boys, who NEED mentors to keep them on track and improving all the time. Who pays? ......in the short term...the Club owners......but in the long terms it should be self full-filling supported by the (new) post of Commercial Director - and (new) facilities - increased bar sales, and shop sales from the investment being input now. In my view this is all part of EVOLUTION - not revolution! Bring it on!

and the $64,000 question is..... With Brexit, will the Bosman rule still apply ?

If you compare with cinemas - good films are not now enough - comfortable seats, big screens etc count and have improved attendances. As it is with football - comfort, keeping dry, available food and drink, are all the ingredients that ADD to the match. If we take your comment to the extreme you would be happy paying your Twenty quid to watch Rovers playing on the downs in all weathers provided they won? Maybe that is for you - but I am sure there won't be many there with you!

The Thatchers End will stay the same, the West Enclosure will stay the same, The Dribuild will stay the same, The West Stand will stay the same, the away supporters will stay the same and I will be getting 'hosed down' as usual on the East enclosure. A few hundred people I'm sure will experience an improved match day. Having improved bar facilities (for some who use it) and card entry does not IMO significantly improve the match day experience. The stadium is still an embarrassing dump and will remain so until it is bulldozed and eradicated from the face of Bristol
