Reap what you sow. Who picks up the pieces when he leaves for a bigger job, as he will. His successor? As with any employed person. And the people who've already resigned / left?

It's amazing how people can be against any change, if the club is going to grow change is inevitable. I'm guessing you don't like Mr G? Reap what you sow. Who picks up the pieces when he leaves for a bigger job, as he will. Surely another commercial professional will be employed just like Tom was. I have no idea who, if anyones toes have been trodden on, or noses put out of joint, but on the face of it, which is all i can go on we seem to be broadening our horizons to match bigger ambitions i would hope

Oh look, a mate of the great old boys network that got us to the verge of non existence, having a whine about the new guard who are seemingly taken the club places. Stick a cork in it sunshine, as per the 'ciders' it's all very droll. Guess it's just about on the pitch results for you?

The press release states the sponsor will be on the back of Adult kits. I take it that means it won't be on kids kits. Bristol Energy are on adults so does that suggest there is a problem with gambling companies on children's shirts? If so, why? Genuine question. Maybe because it's illegal to gamble if you're a child? I can't believe (well actually I can!) TG and his team bring in record revenue into the club with credible sponsors and yet still faces criticism. Smats of the post being a bit of a tw@t really as someone has done their job rather well and probably better than anyone in the past.

His successor? As with any employed person. And the people who've already resigned / left? Who? Without actually imparting any information, we are all expected to know and share concerns, but no one ever Dam says anything to give us a reason to be upset or worry

As with any issue it’s never black and white about betting being a sponsor. In a way I can see utg12s point about it but TG is clearly doing a great job in developing income streams and getting sponsors into the club. He really is working hard in getting us branded and widening our appeal to outside businesses. It’s got to be good. If I’m honest I probably would prefer non- betting but we can’t be too choosy and in the end individuals need to take responsibility for their own betting/ actions or whatever. In the end well done Tom G, doing a fine job for Rovers. UTG!

And the same reason certain adverts are not allowed on children's TV. One of our stands is sponsored by a Brewery. You don't seem to bothered about that. Alcohol does as much (possibly more) damage than gambling. Why are you not on your high horse about that? You come across as someone who is very bitter with the new regime and Tom Gorringe in particular. Why don't you be honest and just come out and say what your problem with the club is. You may find people might agree with you. At the moment you are just proving that the club was right to move on.

And the people who've already resigned / left? What about them? Football clubs are built on more than someone staying 2 years.

Must be either a club or FA decision to ban gambling on kids shirts? What are the 82er's doing as they are in a similar position? Not sure of the logic of FI sponsoring us when you can only "invest" your money in the top 200 players.

Whilst I understand that some have issues with gambling sponsors, I want to say well done to TG for the commercial income he is bringing to our club. Whilst the raffle was good for local companies and also made more than many league two clubs would have made from sponsorship, the club were obviously confident they could attract a bigger sponsor and make more money to try and move us forward off the pitch.

In the other thread. 1 - never gave my views on alcohol sponsorship. 2 - even if I did do you really think 1 belief would be entirely blown out the water by another? So someone couldn't disapprove of loan companies but be less against the sugary drinks coca cola make & promote? Thatcher's paid £30k for that. Ian holtby did it. Don't remember praise for him.

Yes I do think that believing alcohol is ok, but gambling not would blow one belief out of the water as it would highlight a ridiculous double standard. I can speak first hand of the dangers of both alcohol and gambling can do to a family but I don't think adverts, sponsorship or football clubs are to blame.

The kids City kits, just have Robins on them, but in the same font as Dunder So therefore there must be a recognised problem with advertising gambling on children's shirt and therefore the authority think something is wrong with it. Not totally against this issue, just think would be better to have a productive company as sponsors. Did Thatcher really say you get the society you deserve? Someone once quoted that but don't know if true.

They don't sell alcohol to kids either so maybe Mr Holtby was wrong to have got us a deal with a company that produces such a harmful and adictive substance?

Who the **** is this utg12? Perhaps she is the female employee who recently left the club's employ? I vaguely remember this being mentioned about four weeks ago, others memories may be able to track down that thread.
