Losing our top goalscorer (again) is hard.
But a few things to note:
- Club shop- nice improvement.
- Kit (imo) looks good.
- Midfield looks extremely strong.
- Defensively, I’ll be happy with a decent LB added.
- We’ve not sold a player on the cheap.
- Pitch is stunning.
We’ve got two weeks to go, and we’re 3/4 players light (depending on your view of the imminent LB). We should be someway closer on a striker option as requiring 1 extra was always likely.

I reckon we still need a LB, maybe another LM/LW, and two strikers (at the very least).

The striking option is a major concern, just to state the obvious... Taylor, Bodin, gaffney, Harrison.
Presumably this will be the first time DC has had a decent sum of money to spend, that will possibly mean breaking the wage structure? The concern is team togetherness. I was anticipating Nicholls having a good season, but we need a proper Jason Roberts style player alongside him.

I don’t think we will see any more wingers sign, Rodman and Matthews can play either side and Mensah plays on the right whilst Bennett plays on the left. Should be fine.
I reckon we need 3 signings at least, 1 left back although 2 would be ideal and 2 strikers so we aren’t short going forward. It’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks, I really hope we can hold onto Lockyer.

Mathews and Rodman can play either side. Marcus Stewart was full of praise for Mathews today. I've said a few times I think he will get sold on from us for decent money in the not too distant future. I've only seen a little bit of him, but looks very good technically, decent with both feet and has an eye for a pass and goal. |

I rate him as a good prospect though. |

Pretty shocking when looked at like that. 4 strikers in 18 months. Not sure I'll broach the Nicholls subject. Not seen anything yet that suggests having a good season, but obviously hope he does. Difficult time to lose / find a striker but then again is there a good time? Everyone will know we have money & slightly desparate. |
