Probably gonna get brickbats for this from some, but looks like another player with championship experience, if Golbourne comes that would be another, building, maybe slowly, but building. Anyone know if THD or Golbourne can play other positions (Pirate, mostly looking at you here)? Golbourne can definitely play left midfield and MK Dons even strangely used him a couple of times as a centre back towards the end of the season. I'd say THD is primarily a left back or wing back.

In all serious though, I was surprised they went down with some of the players they had. I wasn't sure about Golbourne, but now we have THD, I wouldn't mind if he was prepared to come in and fight for his place, just as long as his signing and wage doesn't restrict us from getting the 2 quality strikers we need.

So is the Golbourne signing speculation or is there legitimate reason to believe that we are looking at him ?

What’s the betting the unfortunate delay at the other teams end was actually cash flow for Ellis?

I thought we might sign 2 LB but DC said he hopes Holmes-Dennis will hold down the left back berth for many seasons to come. Would Golbourne sign knowing he's seen as backup? He might do, apparently wants to stay local. It's up to him to force his way into the team. Also after so long out, can we rely on THD playing every game this season? Maybe signing another experienced LB on a one year deal would not be a bad idea. Would certainly get a lot of game time during the first half of the season while THD takes his time to get used to playing 90 minutes every week. I suppose we could see J.Clarke or Craig playing there if needed.

No it was to do with he wanted huddersfield to pay some of his wage until his contract expired for the Terriers hence thats why DC was saying its more to do with their end and not our own just a little inside info. Don't worry I'm not going to be spouting off that we have a Chinese consortium ready to buy the club and propel us to the prem.

If so, that's one he'll off a bit of good business.

Going by what Irenegas says presumably Huddersfield are contributing something to his wages for a season at least. happened with players at other clubs and Rovers in the past

"I like Rovers too. They gave us one hell of a game in that playoff final and then sold us the little genius who despite our recent success remains my favourite ever Town player." Funny how we're so popular in Huddersfield. Wish we were really unpopular there, to be honest.

For me we have decent cover there with Harris, Clarke and Craig.
