What's happened to Omar Bogle, he is 6ft 3 ins Bogle would be a good,if Clarke could get him playing like he used to at Grimsby.

I'm hearing that Padraig Amond is on the list and we're interested, whether that one has been "scrubbed off" or not yet I couldn't tell you. As a backup No.9, maybe.
As our main striker, not good enough.
Decent goal return in the Conference but in the last 2 seasons in L2 with Hartlepool & Newport he's managed just 28 goals in 104 appearances (84 starts).
He scored 35 in 46 appearances in the Conference with Grimsby (a goal every 1.31 games) but that drops to a goal every 3.71 games in L2. As L1 is another level up he'd probably get a goal every 5 games so he'd be lucky to get more than 9 or 10 in a season.
He's also 30, so although not over the hill he is no doubt past his best. He looks like he peaked when he was 27-28 during his season with Grimsby in the Conference.
All these stats everyone quotes is pointless most big strikers don’t score 20 a season doesn’t mean they won’t bring something to the team. Kevin Davies Emile heskey weren’t goalscorers but they brought the best out of the players around them.

Sounds like another Easter type signing, I assume he could partner a new No 9 as well as be back up for him so could be a useful signing as Gaffney's replacement.

Actually he is 5ft 9 but his hair gave him an extra 2 inches

Yes, I noticed he was supposed to be 5'11'. Not particularly big.
Having watched a couple of You Tube videos he doesn't even look 5'11'. He looked to be one of the smaller players in Grimsby's team.
I wouldn't think he'd be considered a No.9 but if he's got a good leap he might do a job.
However, I am concerned that at 30 he's past his best, he's never played in L1 and although he did well in the Conference he only averages just over a goal every 4 games in L2.
