Can someone write what DC just said. Was very interesting. Lower half budget again. When asked how he got on with owners he said Wael is very pleasant to deal with... (came across as a dig as Hani to me but could be wrong)
Also said we needed the infrastructure changed 3 years ago, you can put him on repeat as still saying it now. We have fans and a manager who want championship football but not the facilities.
Sounded frustrated.

Oh dear, sounds like the love affair with Wael is over, nice guy but what he asked for 3 years ago still undelivered...apologies for being a broken record.

Just what we want to hear. Will have to over achieve again.
We don't have the facilities or the playing budget.
DCs words.

17th in the league last season and likely to be the same this season, with the ALQ's not prepared to any of their own money in order to top up the playing budget

We will have 2 strikers in by the end of the deadline.
Our budget is in the lower half of the table, our owners prefer not to put additional money in so DC works within the limits of our turnover. Has to pull rabbits out of hats to get us in the top 6.
Speaks to Wael a lot but club needs to be aware that it needs to move forward same as he said two years ago (or something like that, basically a diplomatic way of saying that infrastructure needs sorting).
Thats about it.

I don't know how DC stays motivated at the moment. I worry we are going to drain the life out of him. The bloke should move on for his own good. Trouble is he has a 5 year contract so he's a bit trapped. Deserves better.

To be fair he did also say that he did at times enjoy working for club that doesn't have it easy (paraphrasing). That must go a long way to explain why he hasn't left yet.

DC confident of getting 2 strikers in before close of window. Didn’t seem overly positive re Wael who he said is a ‘very pleasant man’ which seemed a bit of a backhanded compliment to me. Clearly frustrated that things haven’t moved on the infrastructure front for the last 3 years. Said we had 17th highest budget in League 1 last year and expecting mid table budget next season.

Trouble is he has a 5 year contract so he's a bit trapped. Deserves better. Imagine the last season he will be with us. He given us 3 years in league 1. If Wael and Co want us to be successful they need to give DC money to spend. They also need to get us in a new stadium. We all know it. FFS. It's hard listening to DC. The guy know we are still a shambles.

Some people have "got to pull their fingers out" with regards to the training ground.
Ouch.

DC said some people need to "pull their fingers out" regarding the new training ground.
Well said DC!
Over to you Wael, Hamer and Starnes...

Lose current training ground next year so ‘someone needs to pull their fingers out’ to sort out new facilities.
The one we bought needs sorting.

Very depressing listen and really can't feel very inspired at all. I have a feeling that the love in with Wael will be at an end or maybe already is as regards DC which will inevitably lead to one or the other going.

Could be any number of reasons, mainly they probably don't have the money or see it as a sound investment. The thing is they are spending money because the debt is spiralling- except it is all going on men in suits.
