Add in summer recess and conference season as well. Complete waste of everyones time The whole saga has been a waste of everybody's time, money and effort. The nation is collateral damage in the Conservative Party's internal civil war. The electorate voted to give more power and responsibility to the elected MP's (Parliament), and Parliament has turned round and shown the electorate that they don't want it and can't handle it !

I see the EU elections went well with numerous people unable to vote I haven't received my voting papers either. I am allowed to vote in the German EU elections. In fact I am allowed to vote in both the German and the UK EU elections, but for some reason I haven't received the papers for either of them, so no vote for me!

She'll still be leader until 7 June and PM until a new Conservative leader in place.
By the end of July.
Treading water until then, Parliamentary recess and conference season.
Brexit? What Brexit?
Anyone fancy a GE thrown in too?😏

Anyone fancy a GE thrown in too?😏 I can't see what a new PM will be able to change with Brexit. The numbers will still be the same. It needs a GE, but the Tories will soil themselves at the thought, with the Brexit Party looming large. I think the EU are reaching the point where they will kick the UK out soon. Maybe that's the answer. It should be fairly easy to sort out an FTA with the EU as currently, all standards are the same !

The deadlock needs to be broken - the EU kicking us out will be the best way. Do do any of the leadership hopefuls have a time machine? Take us back a couple of years and tell the EU we are leaving with a no deal and they will be getting no more cash from us. That would be a far better starting point for negotiations and put the ball firmly in their court, in the meantime we start making plans for no deal ready for 2019. Saying that the same time machine could take us forward two years and find we are still in the same position we are today - that would take away any remaining will to live !

An FTA is the ideal way out of this cesspit, but I wonder on what terms. I cannot see the EU ideologues agreeing to trading "as is" as that will open the floodgates to a lot of countries demanding the same, which would most likely mean the breakup of the EU as it stands today.

Nice to see we are still firmly grounded in reality! Any detail yet on the no deal scenario or is that for later? Asking for an economy. I guess really that no deal doesnt really mean no deal. It means 20 years of being shafted with trade deals in reality. So no deal is better than a bad deal is probably accurate in so far as there are likely to be quite a number of them.

I feel your frustration. Clueless arguments for just walking away ever more exposed. But hey, I am sure, late on Sunday evening Farage et al will be deemed to be winners, in justification of the "clueless argument" I fear Officer, we are going to have to "suck it up" We lost, and our kids will pay the price.

Boris is flying the No deal flag as part of his leadersip bid, but would prefer a deal he says. When it comes to the crunch which one of them is mad enougb to walk away with no deal, because they all know it is madness
