We must plan to do the best with what we have available at Peterborough. How about using Tom to win some headers and hold the ball up? Not ideal but he is fit and has a presence. Could see him linking up with either Nicholls or Reilly and bringing our midfield into play. How about 3- 5 -2?
Slocombe
J Clarke Lockyer Craig
Rodman Upson O Clarke Sercombe Bennett
Nicholls/Reilly Broadbent.

What about Smith? He's good in the air.

There is history of us bringing in a player and converting the position they play. GF did with Carl Saunders if I recall.

Keiffer Moore managed it!! Kieffer Moore was a striker that Yeovil tried converting to a centre back. I saw him bully Weston in one of his first few games for Truro and tipped off the club about his potential as one for the future.

I think Broadbent is more of a natural winger, why not try Bennett up front as a target man?

If we played this this starting 11, I feel we will be humiliated.

At least I see the logic in it. The worst thing about the team you've set up is that you've got 3 at the back without wing backs. Bennett and Rodman are out and out wingers and not the sort we want playing deep and dropping into a back 5 when necessary, which is what you need in this formation (as Leads and Browner have done previously).

Not something you’d just try randomly in a match but no doubt DC does try players in different positions all the time in training matches and if he doesn’t play Broadbent up front then that’s because he doesn’t think he could do a job there. Personally if I was manager of our squad I would have definitely tried him out in a training match up front

Burton. You sure? I swear it was Wmbledon. McGhee admitted that he hadnt trained/prepared for the game as he thought it would be an easy win which was why he played Virgo up front. Or am I getting my games mixed up???

If we have to play Broadbent up front serious questions need to be asked of our owners ambitions.

I think Ollie Clarke is banned on Saturday as he was sent off on the last game of last season. Anybody agree?

He’s not ideal as a centre half judging by last Saturday let alone as a centre forward
