Couldn’t make it up, what a poor summer this is turning out to be.
No home shirts in club shop, selling two strikers without replacing them, new stands not in place, losing the South West stand, sponsorship cockup, DC frustrated in interviews when discussing the ‘pot of gold’ he has to spend.
A lot of answers needed on Thursday’s 20pence radio show.

I fear it's all going Pete Tong for TG, KB forced out, bar prices etc substantially increased, b@lls up with the shirts advertising, rumours the stands haven't even been manufactured yet let alone built and we haven't even played our first home match yet!
Although are the ALQ's cutting corners with personnel where it matters as TG seems to have become Stadium Manager, Commercial Director and Head of Media?

Don't forget Hamer's commentary because Keith (who was perfectly adequate) had his role messed about with. And if TG is being over-worked then he has to question what happened to the old media manager and ask himself how he ended up taking on the role of producer of the programme too. In trying to become more professional we have spun too many plates at once and risk becoming more amateur. Careful what you wish for...

If Mint tweeted this today knowing full well their advertising wasn't on the shirts yesterday I'm sure they're ok. You're all making assumptions about Gorringe ability to do the job and the sponsor's unhappiness without having any facts or proof, just spouting negative nonsense.
We've already been told in a previous thread on here the new stands will be in place for our first home game, already a massive improvement to the Match day experience, and we have at least 1 new no.9 incoming.
Relax! It's been one game and a large majority of you are just looking for things to complain about and blame.

I guess that both football index and skybet are classified as gambling, but football index isn't actual betting so it'll be interesting to see how this one works out if you are correct.... Football Index seem to think of themselves as gambling, on their website. They have stuff like this: Football INDEX is provided by BetIndex Ltd which is licensed and regulated by the Jersey Gambling Commission and by the UK Gambling Commission. Remote Operating Licence Number: 000-043061-R-322161-006 The Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS) or European Online Dispute Resolution acts as an impartial adjudicator for dispute resolution. Please gamble responsibly, for more information please visit www.begambleaware.org/. Bloody hell yet another offshore tax haven company, does any b@gger in the country pay tax apart from me? No wonder our public services are going to pot....

He's not my style but TG does reply to tweets and he has worked hard this summer...OK he seems to have messed up on a few things but at least he's trying. He should also have dealt with Keith better from what I've read . That said he's doing his best to generate new income and modernise ticketing. It's a lot to take on in fairness.

Where have the club officially announced that the new stands will be in place for next Saturday given they haven'r even arrived at the ground I can't see how they can be put in place and a safety certificate obtained by Friday, I just hope they are in place for the Pompey game. The Mint issue seems fairly clear cut, if we can't have two betting co's on our shirts for Skybet game then either we produced new shirts, or keep them taped up for league games.

It's the shorts sponsor that is the issue. It's not allowed on kids kits anyway as it's betting so it's only full kit wankers that are affected. Minimal impact, get over it. Not a huge issue. Nothing to see here. People like to moan Hugo, they can't moan about a lack of striker, they can't moan about the bar facilities, they can't moan about the season ticket so they moan about cock all just to have a moan.

CALM down - especially those habitual knockers of the Owners and the Board. Surely the Sky rule is only one betting company on the shirt. Well, that is what we have - one on the away shirt yesterday and all future away matches - and a different company on the home shirt and all subsequent home matches. Exactly the same (albeit different companies) as last season and the season before and before.
