Many people noticed yesterday that the Mint Bet sponsor logo was covered up on our kit yesterday. Apparently due to EFL rules that you cannot have more than one betting company sponsor.
Were the club aware of these rules? Maybe they assumed that Football Index isn't a betting company as such, and may try to argue the case?
If there is no way around this will the club have to refund Mint Bet there sponsorship money? Also it will affect the replica shirts already purchased / being manufactured.

Apparently club is in process of repaying back sponsorship to MintBet which is going to have a knock on effect to the remaining of DC’s transfer budget apparently 50k

Guess we all make mistakes but TG has been in the game some time so you'd have thought he knew the rules. Suppose the search is on for another sponsor.

I wouldn't be happy with a shirt thats got the wrong sponsor on it. Surely nobody would buy one now the mistake is out in the open too. Where does that leave the shirt manufacturing process and all the dead stock that will be left around?

It's the shorts sponsor that is the issue.
It's not allowed on kids kits anyway as it's betting so it's only full kit wankers that are affected.
Minimal impact, get over it. Not a huge issue. Nothing to see here.

Can’t see anything in the FA handbooks to suggest two betting sponsors is not allowed? Anyone have a link that confirms this?

Apparently it’s to do with the current sponsorship deal with sky bet that they have in their terms only one other rival company can be placed on kits.

I guess that both football index and skybet are classified as gambling, but football index isn't actual betting so it'll be interesting to see how this one works out if you are correct....

Football Index seem to think of themselves as gambling, on their website. They have stuff like this: Football INDEX is provided by BetIndex Ltd which is licensed and regulated by the Jersey Gambling Commission and by the UK Gambling Commission. Remote Operating Licence Number: 000-043061-R-322161-006 The Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS) or European Online Dispute Resolution acts as an impartial adjudicator for dispute resolution. Please gamble responsibly, for more information please visit www.begambleaware.org/.

Nothing to see here. It quite clearly stated when they were announced they were "back of the shirts" sponsors, I assume that means all the replica kit will need now reprinting plus we've now lost whatever money Mint betting, or another company, were going to pay us as back of the shirt sponsors. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2018/july/mintbet-sponsorship-announced-shirt/I guess TG's "my way or the highway" is coming back to bite him.
