Hopefully Wael will announce a new stand for exclusive use by the BR-moaners. No expensive tea or sausage rolls available but brand new hand-wringing machines in the toilets. It'll be easily recognisable as it will face the car park not the pristine pitch.

Just a normal stand being built like virtually every club in the country has provided for their supporters in recent years will do. When was the last time Rovers built anything permanent (and I don't count the tin roof being put over the blackthorn end)?must be 70+ years?

Tbf I don't think they are looking to jump ship at all, I think things are just a bit more expensive than they were anticipating. However, if the right offer came along - I doubt they'd outright turn it down in the real world they call it business restructuring. The new CEO is here to hopefully take control of the day to day running of the ship and co-ordinate things better.
Dwane Developments was incorporated in March 201. They must have some plans somewhere for something
Blimey - I had no idea this had been in the pipeline for so long! In all seriousness, I agree. I don't really see any signs that the board want out. Sure the stadium fell through - but I think most people agree that it may have been for the best (RE Land ownership). As a club, our structure is much further ahead than it has been in recent memory - the pitch, stands, renovations, back room staff, reserve/youth teams, CEO wouldn't have come cheaply.

Thing is, if they were to loosen the purse strings, they would need all the correct infrustructure in place to make the most of it....

There’s never been no intentions from wael & co once they couldn’t have the uwe too themselves, now they have lost all interest and a tart up of the club to get rid off. So you're saying there have been intentions? In all seriousness if they were looking to get rid you wouldn't expect them to be investing money in the development squad et al. Yes they wanted uwe stadium WHAT a investment that would’ve been but outright on their own, development squad and other refurbishments make a sale look more attractive too potential buyers. When you sell your car do you clean it first? I hope I am wrong and they turn the mem into a decent stadium or build a stadium in North Bristol UTG and 3 points tomorrow 🙏

I think Rovers do things differently from the rest of the football world. You'll notice tomorrow the South West Stand has been removed. The redevelopment plan involves removing a stand each season until we're left with a nice green field where people can casually stand around watching the game or just mingling with friends over a glass of cider or two. It's the future.

Improve the club = Making it nice and shiny to sell Don't do anything to make improvements = Not investing so want to sell

So is Wael still appearing on 20man's show this Saturday with DC, if so, what time? Perhaps we'll get an update on how far the team of world class stadium designers have got? Radio Bristol sport confirmed... Geoff Twentyman will be at the Memorial Stadium this weekend for ‘Saturday Sport’ ahead of the match with Accrington. Rovers president Wael Al-Qadi is scheduled to speak to Geoff live on the programme just after 2pm @bbcrb @official_BRFC

Not much of a point, though, is it? People often wash their car. Doesn't mean they're gonna sell it. A friend recently washed her car, locked her keys inside & spent a stressful hour (& £80 she can't really afford) sorting it out. True story. God knows what it means though #zen #aphorism?

Nuff said. That's exactly what I was thinking. And £80? I know plenty of youths who would have got her keys out for her for little more than a tenner and a kebab.

I am hoping tomorrow’s interview will give us some indication of the long term plans. Perhaps an update on the situation regarding the Colony. I don’t think for a moment there are any plans to significantly improve the Mem beyond what they are doing now, so unless a new site for a stadium can be found I think they will eventually sell the club. Only my opinion and happy to be proved wrong.
