In general across all divisions, a bit of a crappy and quiet deadline day if you ask me. I though Spurs did some good business! Payne turned them down 😂

I though Spurs did some good business! Can't see Pochettino being very happy. [b Rumours with spurs fan is that pochettino wants to give youth a chance so wasn’t looking for much this window

Just seen that Oxford have completed the loan signing of Ricky Holmes until the end of the season. Fantastic signing. Didn't he go for similar money to Bodin last January when he moved to Sheff Utd?

You do realise the kid scored 42 goals (13 assists) in 59 games last season, don't you? Ex Spurs head of recruitment Paul Mitchell obviously rates him highly as he was trying to sign him for RB Leipzig where he now works.

Yes I know very well I also know people who watch a lot of their youth games and have seen him many times and have links to the club and that’s many peoples opinions. Same with Marcus Edwards who was touted as an English messi but his progression has halted and has a terrible attitude hardly played on Loan at norwhich last season

Well I'm pleased with our 2 signing and the fact we kept Tom Lockyer. I see the sh** arent happy to lose another player with Joe Bryan going to Fulham. Makes this window an even better one than could have dared dream with our 5 acquisitions.

Well I'm pleased with our 2 signing and the fact we kept Tom Lockyer. I see the sh** arent happy to lose another player to a championship rival with Joe Bryan going to Fulham. At least our 3 star players went to clubs in a division higher. Makes this window an even better one than could have dared dream with our 5 acquisitions. Fulham are in the Prem.

Made some really good signings too. With the likes of Seri, Rico and Schurrle adding to Sessengnon and Cairney, I expect Fulham to have no trouble avoiding the drop this season.

I feel like they're genuinely more interested in player-trading and making money that way, than they are interested in building a winning team. Don’t know the ins and outs of their training complex etc (or if they even have one), but I’d imagine they’re building foundations for a sustainable Championship club. I’d snap anyone’s hand off for Wael to turn us into a mid-table ‘player-trading’ side that makes enough money to finance a stadium re-development! One of the best posts on here for a while. Football has changed. The plucky little clubs who make it into the championship on loans, serendipity or maybe an exceptional manager soon come back down. It's like eucylyptus tree growing fast but it has no roots. The only way now is to be upfront & say that we need to do something like you've proposed / the Brentford model (similar).

Ipswich Town have announced the signing of Kayden Jackson for an undisclosed fee. Good news that we won't be facing him on Saturday. The bad news is that they can buy 3 or 4 quality players with the £1.5/2M they are getting and they'll all want to make a big impression tomorrow, it's a bit of kick in the teeth if he has gone for x3 or x4 Harrison's fee when he was in a division lower. Hurst as clearly decided to take the cream of Div 1, it'll be interesting to see how that pans out. The cream? Ummmm. Toto Nsiala? Wonder if their fans are moaning that all he's doing is bringing players he has worked with, and a player he's seen many times. And all unproven at their level.
