I think DC will chuck Payne straight in.
Also, because of his "woolly" comments about last week's performance I think he'll stick Ollie Clarke back in midfield.

I reckon it will be the same team you've picked.

Same as that except Upson in O.Clarke’s role and either Lines or Matthews next to Sercombe.

It'll be a bit maddening after DC's just signed two further strikers if he only intends playing one of them up front against a team liable just to come and shut up shop. Personally I'd go 4-4-2 and give Nichols one further chance to get on the score sheet/Reilly a good run out in the 2nd half.

Playing one up top doesn’t necessarily mean more defensive than two up top though. It means your wingers and more attacking, creative midfielders have a bit more freedom and license to get forward and create something than a rigid 4-4-2 does.

Last season it was mainly Harrison ploughing away on his own up top whenever DC tried 4-3-3

My preferred line up would be similar but Broadbent alongside Lockyer and Lines or Matthews alongside Sercs with Upson holding. When fit Holmes-Dennis would come in at LB.

I think he'll go 4-4-2 at home.
GK - Slocombe RB - Leadbitter LB - J.Clarke CB - Lockyer CB - Craig RM - Rodman LM - Bennett CM - O.Clarke CM - Sercombe ST - Payne ST - Reilly
CM is tough to choose. Went with Clarke simply because of DC's comments after last weeks game but it could be almost any combination.

I can't see any way Upson will be left out. I reckon he'll start every game this season if fit.

You're probably right but listenning to DC's comments made it sound like he thought we were weak and lacked bite at Peterborough.
The obvious way to add that to the midfield would be to bring in O.Clarke. However, if I was choosing I'd probably stick with Upson, for now at least.

Mathews was part of the more urgency last Saturday he’s left footed as well to add more balance

I said I wouldn't start Matthews against Peterborough because of being a bit lightweight and he didn't. I would play him against Accy though. Positive player who likes to make things happen.

Nichols and Payne up top, would like to see Matthews get another 30 mins, looked decent at Peterborough.
