Happy with that. A short trip down the M4, or an hour and a half on the train. Haven't played QPR for a long while. Loads of decent watering holes in Chiswick and Shephards Bush. Whats not to like? Not according to Football Ground Guide!
''There are no pubs for away fans in the immediate vicinity around the stadium. In nearby Shepherds Bush Green there are a number of bars, however, most do not welcome visiting fans and employ doormen to enforce this, checking match tickets on entry. One exception is Belushi’s Bar, which is located in the Vue Complex, opposite Shepherd’s Bush Tube Station. This basic bar also shows Sky and BT Sports. Otherwise, alcohol is available inside the Loftus Road Stadium (albeit just bottles of Carlsberg at £4.95), although for some high profile games the Club opts not to sell any to visiting supporters.'' If they don't show babestation, it ain't worth it.

Who could forget Angelo Balanta. I for one will never forget his penalty in the play off final. Came on as sub about 15 minutes before the end of normal time. Nice to see his name pop up on Sky sports for scoring the odd goal, most recently on the first day of this season.

Meh, at least they’re beatable! Would’ve preferred one of the Prem teams at home, but hopefully QPR will be more concerned with league survival and will play a sh** team. I'm pretty underwhelmed as well, like you say, hopefully they'll put out an 'experimental' team. Wonder what DC will do, I'd like to think we'll field a strong team. How can he field a strong team we ain’t got one.

Got to be a strong chance Lumley will start this one. Would love it if we managed to sign him in the near future, would be a great investment before he hits his peak. Of course if he becomes their number 1 we’d have no chance. Feel he will be another Neil Etheridge.

Amazing.

I can confirm there are definitely no decent pubs in Shepherds Bush.

When was the last time we played there? 70s or 80s? I remember going to Loftus Road to watch the Gas sometime in 1970s (I think). Cant remember much about the match apart from there being a cracking atmosphere and Rodney Marsh scoring directly from a free kick.

Agree though would love him back and could see him going far. Etheridge was a brilliant keeper with us, a shame the team in front of him was shocking at the time!

When was the last time we played there? 70s or 80s? 19 Aug 1980 Queens Park Rangers v Bristol Rovers L 4-0 League Division Two Living in West London at the time. 0-2 loss 79/80 and 0-4 loss 80/81. I saw one of those games, can't remember which one! Tight ground with good atmosphere.
