I think we dodged the bullet there....but it begs the question, what on earth were we doing trying to sign him?

“It looked like he wasn’t playing with any thought whatsoever, which is unusual.
Clearly I don’t know him that well yet and his personality yet, but I hope I don’t see that side of his personality again.”
Way to talk about a new player!
Even if he was poor you wouldn’t expect that level of public criticism so early from the manager who just signed him.

Did we actually pay anything for Payne? £200k Really? Didn't know that. From what I've seen of him, that's a bargain.

It does beg the question why we ever attempted to sign him in the first place when even Walsall's fans thought he was useless!

Really? Didn't know that. From what I've seen of him, that's a bargain. It is. I would argue from what I’ve seen so far that we have got a player just as good, if not better than Harrison for a quarter of the price. Excellent business.

Wow. I know it is still early days for him there but it certainly sounds like we might have dodged a bullet with that one.

Think Mark Robins should take a look at his own performance as manager with that comment. Unprofessional.

That's terrible management from Robbins to go public, who does he think that behavior motivates, certainly not the player, more likely the visiting centre halves.
