Here we go again, just because we are BRFC it does not make us entitled to have all the king's army and riches does it? Stop looking at the the small picture (4 games into a 46 game long season) and look at the bigger picture and we are making progress. I know it's slow but the owners did say that it would be evolution not revolution. If people are getting this impatient with progress at BRFC then I don't understand why they don't go and follow another club that's making quicker progress than just stick around here grumbling and moaning away then coming back for more like some masochist. Trust in DC. Up the gas.
What progress are we making apart from a new bar and more tents?
No new ground, no training ground, no more players, poor form, a seemingly frustrated manager.
You cant tell fans to support someone else because they are unhappy with progress (or lack of it) at the club, people usually only moan because they care.
The 'evolution not revolution' phrase was a masterstroke by Wael enabling him to buy some time (to do what im not entirely sure) and is swallowed up by a lot of gullible gasheads.
Excuse me, but if you read my post properly you would see that I didn't 'tell' people to support another club but merely said I don't understand why they don't if they are are unhappy with the rate of progress. In terms of progress, I'd say back to back promotions followed with 2 mid table finishes in L1 over 4 years isn't too bad, not to forget that in that time we have developed the back room set up substantially. We're also now seeing some works carried out at the mem to make match day improvements for the fans probably for the first time ever. You say DC is a 'seemingly frustrated manager' but where's the evidence to back that up? You say 'no more players' but DC has brought in 7 this window already with one more on the way. He has brought in new players in Jan, about 7 or 8 last summer (I think?) and also some in Jan before that. My point is, that no matter what is done it seems it will never be enough for some fans.

I reckon a large percentage of fans of most teams feel like their team still needs players in certain positions once the window has shut.

You implied people moaning should support someone else and many others have taken it that way. You can tell DC is frustrated by his interviews and comments at the AG forum. The aim is a new stadium, nothing else will cut it for supporters, or at least a proper revamped Memorial Stadium. If they cant offer that then at least be honest and open about it. Even the new training ground has hit a wall of silence when we were promised we would be on it by now. Too much BS coming from this club lately

Everyone is frustrated with the lack of progress on the ground and training ground. Everyone. Includes Wael and the family.
They’re not as rich as we think. They’re more Dunford/Higgs as opposed to Lansdown. They can’t chuck money at a situation and expect results.

Just as well we all don't decide to support the 82er's etc or you wouldn't have a club left to support! Football is probably unlike any other entertainment business where you can simply pick and choose which team to support. Anyway back to the OP, I can't understand why we can afford a CEO & Chairman, £500K on a pitch and an office in London, sign ex Peterborough strikers for the Development Squad but not a left back or centre back for the first team. It's like someone is playing Football Manager and ticking all the boxes without using any logic to the decisions being made. Perhaps it's easier to convince Hani we need a CEO etc but not more than two centre backs? I can't work it out.

Pitch was poor condition but we had a good record on it.
Now we have evened it up for other teams, we have a 100% record of Played 2 Lost 2.

Won 2 out of the first 3 didn't we? not including a thumping win v Cambridge.
Last seasons pitch was a mess but it was only because we decided to relay it when we had a great home record over the previous 3 seasons.
if it ain't broke don't fix it, find things that do need fixing.

And, more ex-Peterborough strikers should be in the Development Squad.

If any of you cared to listen to the Gorringe interview at the top of the main forum you’d have heard a pretty frank overview of where we are making progress.
Some of you want players without the other parts. That’s like building a city full of beautiful buildings, but ah we forgot to put the roads in first. Nobody can get to work; those buildings aren’t efficient.
The infrastructure of this club is 20-30 years out of date compared to where we want to be and where most of those moaning expect us to be. Do any of you seriously believe that DC is not looking for top quality players? Or perhaps they look at what we can offer them and see poor training facilities and a fanbase that spend most of their time arguing about sausage rolls and a £4 pint (despite Bristol having an average pint price above this)!
Don’t see why there is a massive problem with the club sorting out the issues that have manifested for YEARS and try to make us commercially viable BEFORE we push on.

Like your choice of ladies, but we can all dream until the truth comes out, not rumours or bullshit PS i would settle for one - Amanda Tapping..... That's about all i could cope with these days

Don’t see why there is a massive problem with the club sorting out the issues that have manifested for YEARS and try to make us commercially viable BEFORE we push on. DC's already suggested he's likely to be only be bringing in a goalie why would he be wasting his time looking at other positions? As a few posters have said why do we need a paid Chairman and a CEO plus a President (who I assume must get a salary from somewhere?). What's the betting Accrington, who are 8th in the table just have an owner covering those 2 (or 3) roles. If we could afford Sweeney's, Brown's & Bola's wages last season why can't we afford them this season if Commercial income is up and Harrison's transfer fee is a bonus. It seems to me DC's budget has been cut not increased if we only bring in another goalie next week, plus we've lost £750K rated Harrison.

Don’t see why there is a massive problem with the club sorting out the issues that have manifested for YEARS and try to make us commercially viable BEFORE we push on. Exactly, the problem is a contingent of fans being so impatient with lack of immediate progress under the new owners that all they can do is moan and create a negative atmosphere on here about the club and or future. Why? What will it achieve? Nothing! I for one am getting pretty sick of it, I used to come on the forum to feel excited about everything BRFC and these days most of the time I come away feeling down and slightly depressed about the state of the fan base. Improving BRFC is a massive undertaking, it's not going to happen overnight, this could be a 10 year slog. It's not fair to keep constantly moaning and criticising out owners, manager and the wider club who are trying their very best to move it forward. Why can't we just get behind them all and do what we're supposed to do..... Be supporters!!! UTG!
