Young Pirates administration appears to be in a complete mess. At the first home game I went to the Young Pirates area outside the ground to renew my grandson's membership and enrol his sister. The area was being manned by the supporters club. Was told that I had to go to the club shop as the Football Club had insisted in the close season on taking over the Young Pirates from the supporters club. Tried today at the club shop and was told it was not their responsibility as the person in the supporters club had left in the summer and not handed over things to them. Asked how I can arrange the membership and should I go back to the supporters club but was told that nobody could join at the moment until things were sorted out and they did not know who would sort it out or when it would happen.
Seems we are missing out on getting the young fans involved.

If this is correct then that's very poor. When will the club realise that like it or not, we are in competition for fans with them down the road, who are a much more appealing option for neutrals / youngsters. Even more so when they finally do reach the promised land. This is why we have to do everything possible as a club to attract them NOW...cheap/free tickets, meet the player days, etc. Young Pirates is a part of that.
Might be worth getting in touch with Tom Gorringe. He's very approachable and may at least be able to tell you what is going on.
Good luck!
