Well I bought a ticket last Thursday, and was looking forward to going, but after Saturdays performance I am stuggling to think why it's a good idea to go and see them at QPR given the journey and the expense, plus as we all know DC doesn't take cups too seriously. God knows what the team will be. I suppose Lines is back, Lockyer out, Walker out, Sercombe out, plus all the ones that have been injured for a while. So do I go and splash the cash, or do I stay at home in the warm with a mug of tea listening to the radio

This is a cup we do well in, we have beat Cardiff and Fulham in previous seasons and had some cracking games against Wolves and Chelsea. I have a feeling we will do well tomorrow night too, really looking forward to it.

Villa,QPR,Stoke,Birmingham City & Newcastle United spring to mind.

No, we don't need your negativity.
We're the gas, treat every game as the first - get behind your team! Hopefully we don't get the vibes that was on the terraces on Saturday because even though it was dire, it doesn't help the team whatsoever.
Sing up lads!

Probably 1500+ gasheads in a compact stadium at Loftus Road , the atmosphere should make the journey worth it in ltself & you never know we might even pull off a result.

We reached the quarter finals two years running in the early 70’s and beat Manchester United in the third round the following year all whilst still in the third tier. It’s always been a competition that has treated us well thinking about it as we beat Everton at home on penalties in 2000ish and got a draw at home to Arsenal at Eastville in the 80’s.

No. Couldn't give a flying f**k about the league cup this early on. QPR Away in t he 2nd round of the league cup does not excite me. Would rather go to Shrewsbury on Saturday.

Going up early from Sussex to have wander round Portabello Road, then settle down with a book for a few pints in Notting Hill.

This is one DC knows he needs to win as it's a chance to boost the financial coffers with a good draw in the next round and might give him some funds to strengthen the squad in January.

It's a fairly meaningless fixture, but easy to get to and should be a good afternoon/evening out, with 1500 gasheads and the chance to see a nice traditional stadium we haven't seen for decades. If we lose, it doesn't matter, if we win, happy days. Cheap tickets, a beer in London before, during and/or after (not the drivers please).
Go on. I'm going.

Going up on a lunchtime train from Sussex to Shepherd's Bush, then aim to try four or five CAMRA recommended pubs in Notting Hill. There's supposed to be a really good Indian supermarket next to the Police station near the ground on the Uxbridge Road. SWMBO has given me a list of herbs and spices so if you see a bloke in a Rovers shirt carrying a big bag of spices, that's me. There are no shops like that in Sussex except for Brighton and Crawley which are sh** holes.
