We should have replaced Leads and let him go to Plymouth, he is injury prone and cannot defend or cross, we signed a promising left back who was out injured for a season, and our only sensible other option Kelly was overlooked until all other options were explored. The lack of a proper pre season with more games has cost us again, when Tommy widdrington came in I thought we were going to improve on our recruitment. We dodged a massive bullet with Baka who has had a mare at cov, they Walsall replaced him with a 35k signing from non league who has hit the ground running. We need another 3 signings and Waels absence last night was very telling.Club changed hands already ? Knowall's prediction/knowledge 5 months early then........

Yet he signed Craig who seemingly has to play every game? His signing still confuses me. Somebody who played their entire career in and around the London area who would surely have had plenty of options from other lower league clubs last season but chose to join us? Better wages than at Barnet or Dagenham & Redbridge and the bait of a future coaching role?

Ryan Inniss from Crystal Palace. 6ft 5in defender with experience at this level. Bit of a bad boy but what would 'Big Tone' say ?

Get him inn the building 😂 I think the problem with this is - DC will have to drop Lockyer or Craig - cant see him doing that. Am I the only one who thinks Lockyer should be playing right back? He played the conference season there and I think he would do a better job than our current right backs. That then free’s up room for a big no nonsense CB

I am still surprised the likes of Gillingham, Southend, Luton etc were not interested in him?

Big Tone would have been fine in league 2 for a year or two or as a player/coach in the conference but his league 1 days are behind him in my view.

Southend have already got a better experienced option in Michael Turner and Luton preferred quality like Sonny Bradley, Matty Pearson and Lloyd Jones.

I was just naming a few random clubs in the London area that probably would have been able to pay him an ok wage if he wanted to stay locally.

We should also remember that he did play a few games in the championship last season so a drop down a league seamed logical at the time. Just didn’t turn out as we hoped.

DC said last season he wouldn't do that. He said he would never sign a loan player, that has to play, like a lot of clubs do. He might have changed his mind, but I doubt it. Yet he signed Craig who seemingly has to play every game? Weird one, granted. But he's here & under contract so it's a different kettle of fish compared to a loan.

Craig is still a good League 1 centre back. I don't know but I imagine he played ALONGSIDE a big centre half. For me DC does not sign players with a partnership in mind. He just seems to sign and hope!

So, are we expecting any more loans coming in tomorrow?
I agree with most, we're crying out for a dominant centre back.
