Pretty much the same time wise. If you go the Worcester route you get some tight roads between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth and some tight roads if your sat nav sends you through Stourport. The Wolves route is more motorway based and an easier route to navigate,M6-M5-M54-A5 however, you do get the massive roadworks at the end of the M5 which slow you down t0 30mph.

If you have the time and patience to sit in a jam go all way up to m54 then straight road in Otherwise get off at j4 and go through Stourbridge No immediate parking around the ground but try the housing estate opposite meole brace retail park it also has macdonalds and Costa otherwise only one local pub for away fans Do not park on meole brace retail park or Percy throwers garden centre you will get a ticket

Is there no parking on a Saturday 3pm kick off at Percy Throwers garden centre, as it has parking for evening games 745pm ( last Year ) £5 per car?

Would assume garden centre has more trade on a Saturday than a Tuesday evening hence only available on night games. Like (insert player you wish to slate) I'm thinking outside the box

I'm thinking of going back the more scenic route via Wales on the way back.

Done both, normally do lanes on the way, motorway on the way home.
Getting off at Worcester is a much nicer drive and normally abit quicker unless you get caught behind a tractor!

I'm thinking of going back the more scenic route via Wales on the way back. A49 down past Leominster, Hereford and then Ross on Wye down to the M4 to the east of Newport is a decent road. A49 is quite close to Shrewsbury's ground.

Replying to A Source ( aka Angry Badger ) Sorry if you thought I was cryptically insulting a player but the fact is I genuinely want to get the car parked as closely to the ground as possible it was in fact quite a simple question either you know or you don’t know end of

I was just trying to be humorous about 'thinking outside the box' Way too many work meetings I've been to and 'box' is a guaranteed buzzword

Cant take thinking about the Gas anymore until 3pm Saturday! Going to try and ban myself from here until then. Miserable start and cannot see anything improving anytime soon.

The sign at Percy throwers states No match day parking This car park is locked when the garden centre is closed any remaining vehicles will be locked in Store closes at 5.30 on Saturday No signs of fines or penalty tickets but I know a free people that have had parking tickets there So leave to you
Also new housing estate opposite Percy throwers again no match day parking and also a new lidl built in footy car park and more restrictions there

Plenty of free parking at the Shrewsbury business park 1.5 miles from the ground. Turn right out of the ground past the garden centre and housing estate. At roundabout the business park is over on your left. There is a Gregg's bakers shop at this edge of the estate.

Not many parking spaces will be needed after our start to the season. FollowDC as he will try and park the bus again.
