I think the conference team would win personally, the only downfall would be Parkes and Gosling.
For me the strikers are the difference, would be close though!

Conference side had a great team spirit, worked hard and scored goals, had good leaders on the pitch and from memory could pass the ball to one another. Our current side hasn’t gelled together yet, and appear short of basic quality, passing, shooting, defending.
If our current team was in the Conference this season I don’t think they would be winning promotion.
2-0 to the Conference team

Yeah, the team that played FGR in the play-offs would water all over the team that played Southend last week. Of course, that team also started off their season not being able to put three passes together and losing to Altrincham and Braintree.

Nice to see Monkhouse has been rehabilitated after a few years. Don't recall a lot of posts praising him while he was actually playing for us. To even things up I used to 'have' to write entire articles on how well he fitted in.

Why not include midfield players? What use is a midfield when you sign defenders that can't defend and strikers that can't score? In league one under dc we have scored plenty of goals and let in even more. We have also scored a good few goals from midfield so its still only fair to include midfield players when talking about dc signings. For strikers matty taylor was a fantastic signing and rory gaffney a very decent signing. Taylor started for a championship team in a play-off position on saturday.
