Found this on the York City site. Amazing how he could look so bad for us this season and yet can produce this in the division above. Brunt could have sealed the win with a gilt-edged opportunity in stoppage time, but City boss Worthington was fulsome in his praise for the young striker. The City chief said: "He got hold of the ball and he was very strong against the opposition. He was a handful for them. He didn’t let them get any free headers and I thought some of his football and the positions he took up were very intelligent for a young man. "He has done a real shift for us, as did all the players. "He linked play, was prepared to turn and have a pop at goal. He’s been a plus for us today and he is probably something we might have been lacking in terms of having a real presence up there." What so he can miss " a gilt-edged opportunity in stoppage time" for us? Sounds like he did well. But did he do any better than say Cunnington did for us?

DC isn't stupid, I'm sure/I hope that Brunt is out on loan to get his sharpness back and then will come back to us fitter/leaner and ready to do the job we know he can.

Oh how we long for someone in front of goal with a bit of clinicalness.

The Sun give him a "5" mark today, which hardly supports the managers praise? Although odd how he can manage 90 mins for them if he so off form.

His Dad has been pretty vociferous in that he feels RB can do better and they are both pretty watered off with DC.

He wont be back. And from the times I've watched him I don't really mind.

I have a gut feeling that Clarke doesn't feel Brunt is good value for money for his wage and probably thinks he can get better for the same/cheaper.

I think the York manager is trying to boost his confidence with his after match praise, such a bad miss in the closing seconds must have knocked Brunty.

Oh... my... actual... god... He missed from a yard. You would need a protractor to calculate the angle to avoid the goal from there. 8 yards by 8 feet, from one yard away. Still, as Ian Wright always says, good strikers forget about their misses. Personally, if I was Ryan's missus, I'd forget about him after that.
