I'd urge people to just buy a regular paper poppy.
If you do buy a Rovers poppy badge be sure to ask the seller if all profits are actually donated to the poppy appeal.
If not, don't buy one.

Bought mine from John Keyes. Does he donate all profits to the Royal British Legion?

Surely anyone selling poppies in any form has to do so in cooperation with the poppy appeal and the royal British legion?

There are several rogue organisations selling merchandise that has the Poppy on that don't contribute to the Poppy Appeal. Our own John Keyes does make a donation to the RBL, so if you wish to buy one from him please do.

Good point from Hugo re rogue sellers. It never crossed my mind until after buying mine last year when I heard someone asking in Bath Abbey if their poppies were genuine? Seriously, Americans don’t believe anything is real these days! Mind you, would you with a President like that? Turns out that it’s very difficult to tell what’s genuine. I’d suggest anything overseas is suspect and buying from somewhere “known” and/or “official “ like the Salvation Army or British Legion. I support the idea of buying a paper poppy each year to wear alongside the Rovers themed pins. Make the best donation you can as well - the cause deserves it. We now play at “The Mem“ for many and for many it’s just a name but please reflect on what “The Memorial Stadium” was created as a memorial for. Lest we forget.
