Because really and truly we should have been at least two up by the time Dover scored on Saturday. And tonight people are saying it was the worst performance at home and we scraped a 1-0 win with an allegedly dodgy penalty.
Seems luck was against us at Braintree. Luck changed a bit at home to Dover who could have had a penalty, and now tonight we get a penalty.

I know its a well worn cliché but teams that win when playing badly go on to be successful (a la Chelsea and Man U). Obviously, I'd prefer more goals and less nail biting but - another cliché - beggars can't be choosers.

No moaning from me. I wish we would play less hoofball, but I will happily take whatever is dished out if the results continue.

It was a definite pen but soft in the sense that the defender should never have got himself into the position of needing to tug our man down. I didn't think we were any worse than most other games I've seen tbh. We had chances, failed to take them when on top. We still lacked creativity from MF. Cunnington and Taylor still look like they've never played together before and the back 4 look solid but prone to an occasional lapse. No moaning here, I think its great we keep winning! If DC can get them winning in this shape, we'll be awesome if we ever click.

A couple of things I will moan about....hoofball.....bloody hate it......midfield going awol...no creativity.....no-one taking shots from the edge of the box..... And last night...Tom Parkes had a mare every pass went to a Dartford player....Don't get me wrong I think he's a good player....but he left his footballing head at home.

Probably the worst I have seen us at home this season.

Hoofball may well get us out of this league and that is great obviously! But we will not flourish back in the football league if we continue to play such football as and when we make it back to league 2.
Teams that come out of the conference playing football on the floor with young hungry teams (Yeovil, fleetwood, crawley etc) quite often fly through league 2 at the first time of asking as frankly the standard isn't that much different. But if we were to get promoted it and we were to carry on playing this hoofball stuff it would be another season of struggle back in league 2.

The game last night was the worst at home this season. We will not sustain a challenge playing like that. MT man of the match? What a joke. He couldn't score in a brothel and tried to mess up the penalty which I agree was a definite. Parkes is an accident waiting to happen and the best player by a country mile on our side was Sinclair AGAIN.
Sadly a fans favourite Mildenhall is also starting to make more and more errors. He almost gave a goal away last night by knocking a ball out to a Dartford player instead of just gathering it up. But at the end of the day, it all stems from the fact that we can't score goals, which would take the pressure off.
Think the time is right to get a change of faces in the door. DC also looked very subdued last night.

Clarke has the opportunity now to set the standard that will give us momentum not just for the rest of this season but further forward. If we can't get slick football going against- well, part-time teams ffs , what chance in L"!? That's why I have been calling for a few loans to come in. We have a great chance of promotion but the QUALITY of football and footballer has to improve !

We need to always be looking to improve the squad and there will always be areas that can be better. Right now we need a goalscorer and unfortunately I think Taylor has had his chance. Thing is, until January we will struggle to bring in the right sort of player.
If we can keep grinding out results until Christmas and keep touch of the top 5 places I'd be happy. Then in jjanuary freshen up with 2-3 new faces and push for promotion
