I said it in the match day thread, I used to love coming to the home games, but not this season, something has changed. The first half today was as bad as I can remember. It was flat, the atmosphere was flat. Yes the second half was better (could it have been any worse?) I can't remember the last time I felt Luke this, its been a while.
If I hadn't already have booked Tuesday off I'd be seriously thinking about not coming.
I think we have the players, but for some reason they aren't performing. We have two players from Shrewsbury who finished 3rd last season. Matthews IMO is a top player, we have a keeper who is as good as I can remember.
Any how, hopefully this rutt ends, and we start playing like we know we can!!!

Couldn’t make it today, wellcircumstance dictates I pick and choose, so I’m choosing Tuesday.
It was excruciating listening on the radio, but second half we sounded good, unlucky even. How long can our bad luck last?! I hope DC chooses the same team, that played the second half. We need the width of Bennet and Mathews.
C’mon Gas, rekindle our season and our love!

Due to being unwell I haven’t been down all season and I didn’t buy a season ticket due to knowing I would miss a large amount of games , but I’ve listened to every game on the radio and I can honestly say that I am not as gutted as I was that I couldn’t attend. Really hope this bad form turns itself around as I’m sure we’re only heading for the trap door at the moment.

The fourth best defensive team in the division and the worst attacking team. It's just so uncharacteristic for a Rovers team let alone a DC team and combined with the unrest with off the pitch matters its really not hard to see why the atmosphere is consistently flat and why so many are losing the passion.
We've had worse and we will see better, we have just got to motivate ourselves through this and back the players and the management staff until results improve.

Expectations have lowered so today's result much as expected.
One day we the score and may even pick up 3 points and think that might just happen on Tuesday if we have some width. Anyone know our longest run without scoring?

When you play with no width and little movement and just keep doing the same thing that hasn't worked all season, you get outplayed by relegation rivals at home it's no wonder the first half had no atmosphere. Getting fed up of it now.

It’s pretty poor right now but I take solace in our defensive record.
When we start scoring things will start being much much better.
Our first two seasons in Leagus One we were all over the place. 6-0s wins one match. 1-5 losses a few matches later.
It has been very fine lines this season. The last couple of games we have had countless chances hit the bar or the post or one on ones go the keepers way.
Before the match I was slating Nichols but today in the second half he showed why Darrell persists. Once the goal comes, they will come like a flood. Question is how long does Darrell wait?
My emigdila (dinosaur brain, may have spelt that wrong, think fight or flight) says D.C. has to go but if you think of all the factors above through and consider who else would you hire (and then would you trust the Al Qadis to hire) then the thought is a clear D.C. in.

You sound a bit..”you only sing when you’re winning”.
I still love going to the Mem. Even though it’s a tough watch.
First half was dire I will admit but second half was good. Defensively we are a unit and have tightened up. Nichols had a good game today, credit where it’s due, but the service to him was shocking. You can’t lay everything at his door. That said, he should have scored today. Again.

Being the social butterfly that I am, I met quite a lot of forumers at the Mem today and I can safely say pretty much all of us are finding it a chore at the moment.
We turn up every week, but it's getting harder and that first half today did nothing to change that!

Grayson, Buckle, players paid much more who don't care and don't try.
I dont think anyone can moan about effort or work rate at the moment.
It has been far far worse, but we are so low on confidence it is untrue. We need the proverbial one of someone's ass! ,and a decent ref would help. Maybe we should learn to dive more!)
With a fully fit Sercs, Parts and Lines I honestly think we can be mid table.

When I'm at games I get into it but I've lost all interest otherwise.

What about the years in Lge 2 when season after season we only just avoided the drop, and we had a team of players who on the whole were absolute cr*p, and had no intention of pulling the finger out? What about leaving Eastville? That was dire. I think we did OK today apart from not scoring again. I was impressed with the effort and all we need is one/two strikers who can score, then we'll be fine. So roll on Christmas. UTG for ever.

Totally agree. Crowds less than half of what we get now in the final seasons at eastville and at Twerton. I think we've been spoilt in recent years with DC giving us two promotions and two comfortable mid table finishes in league one after some dismal years beforehand. This is football, it can't be a bed of roses all the time, everyone at this level has their bad spells. We'll get through it. I'm nowhere near as demoralised with on pitch matters than I am with the off field stuff. Truly believed in WAQ and his family to deliver us a new stadium and training ground. Feel a bit of a mug now and even more frustrated with our 'fans' spouting in the know bullshit every five minutes

Thought we played much better second half when we brought Bennet and Mathews on and the full backs got forward more. It was a decent tactical change by DC but there’s little he can do if we have that many chances and don’t score. Nichols was excellent in that second half with his movement his passing his fight and determination but still managed to water is all off by not scoring from three fantastic chances. The goals 8 yards wide but if your striker misses that from 7 yards and you don’t win then he’s let you down I’m afraid.
