Our performance has been covered elsewhere but how the hell do we do consistently get such poor officials at the mem? I remember reading sone time ago (probably on here) that referees going up the leagues or being fast tracked are given our home games so that assessors can see how they react to (relatively) large crowds. If that's the case now then I feel it is working against us as they try to show they are not biased - that's the only way I can explain the idiot 'in charge' yesterday. Even the assistants didn't have a hat so how could they see when facing the sun. The fact that we had no officials at the world cup to and says a lot too.

I work with a football league linesman and this is the exact question I will be asking him tomorrow. Worse than the conference officials, at the mem so far this term.

Perhaps our strikers should just start running into people and then hit the deck. Seems to work fine for the opposition.

In the first half the referee charged around waving cards like a six year old who had ate a bucket of smarties. Seemed to calm down a bit in the second half. I’m surprised both teams finished with 11 the amount of yellow cards he dished out.

Why was play stopped for one of them when he was off the pitch?
Reckon the FA must pick the worst of the worst and send them down to us. Every game!!

Afaict, because the medic came on and left her bag on the pitch. What annoyed me most about the guy is that he told their No.15 to shut up quite early on, made it very clear in no uncertain terms that he had wouldn't tolerate any more backchat from him. Gesticulated exactly like he should to make sure that everyone in the stadium knew that he wouldn't take any more back chat from him. And then spent the rest of the game taking backchat from him.

Same for 19, Mackie? That bloke should have gone first half! And then he booked 3 of ours for decent challenges. When the lucks not with you.....

He was constantly chirping away at locks and Craig trying to get a reaction from them and trying to get 1 of them sent off. FairPlay to the pair for not rising to it. Plenty would have rightly gave him a slap. What a c u next Tuesday he is.

Yep, more crap officials. There was one point in the first half where one of their players didn't even go down and the ref gave a non-foul. Mind-boggling.

All fans think the officials are against them, and only ever see the decisions that go against them while ignoring the decisions in their favour. We simply need to play better, or more to the point actually score a goal. If the up and coming refs are sent to teams with big support, we're not getting the fastest track one are we? Yesterdays attendances: Bradford 15,875 Charlton 12,416 Luton 8,953 Plymouth 8,190 Portsmouth 18,046 Shrewsbury 9,007 GAS 8,506 Please, stop giving ammunition to you-know who.

They will blame the ref soon for picking the team,if he did it would probably more attack minded.

I don't believe that the ref was that bad, Rovers players did a lot of shirt pulling and holding. Home fans don't see it though

The ref didn’t allow any football to be played because he was far far too whistle happy, particularly in the 1st half. I pay to watch football not a ref ruining the game. He was poor for both teams not just us, tho more went against us. You think the accessor may have had a word in his ear at half time. Slightly improved 2nd half.

The best referees are the ones you don't notice. Maybe this guy was better last season v Southend but yesterday it was impossible to miss him. Problem was also that Oxford played him like a guitar and he wasn't clever enough to notice. Perhaps we need to get street wise although I hate the principle, if you can't beat em join em !

Perhaps we should scout the ref prior to the game and learn from that how to play the referee to get the bulk of decisions.
