I had to go to West London today to sort out a personal matter, and I went past Brentfords new ground. They already have the steelwork in place for the main stand and the stand opposite. Yet another club who we used to play on a regular basis moving way ahead of us. Meanwhile what about the National Trust taking over the Mem, surely a constant stream of history buffs would improver our income

Matthew benham has invested well over £100,000,000 in brentford. Thats the only difference worth mentioning between them and rovers imo.

One of my favourite away days.

they are making money from selling their old ground for housing. 361 "Homes" is the target. Plus there will be some flats built around the new ground. If they can get 361 "homes" on Griffin Park, I bet we can get more on the Mem site, and they would have a better view

Is that land up by Gillette Corner ?

We could dismantle the Mem (not too difficult since it's mostly canvas and scaffolding poles), move it to London for one year, sell it at London prices the following year, and build a 30,000 seater soulless bowl in Bristol.
It's a plan. Might need some finessing.
But it should be good to go.

Seighford FC division 83 of the Stafford and District Sunday league-pop 457- have erected a stand which puts us to shame. Build it and they will come. Please note this doesn’t apply in the Darlington area.

I know you know the area, but so do I, having lived & worked in the area from 2001-2007. They've gone through decades of plans, hopes, ideas and failures. Can't see any point (especially a serious, non-negative point) in starting a new thread about this.

Well parts of the stadiums used for the 2022 WC will be dismantled and donated to developing countries. Maybe we should ask nicely if they will donate a stadium to us?!

Is that land up by Gillette Corner ? No the land is very near Chiswick roundabout. Local people aren't impressed with another 361 homes, especially given all the other developments that have happened in Brentford. If you haven't been there for a few years you would be shocked, also there is no parking anywhere in Brentford on matchdays

Pretty sure our owners are also rich, if they aren't then why did they bother buying a football club which needed a new stadium costing £30m+ to build?

Pretty sure our owners are also rich, if they aren't then why did they bother buying a football club which needed a new stadium costing £30m+ to build? because it was supposed to pay for itself. They never had any intention of paying for it themselves. Thats why when they found out it wouldn't pay for itself they built it anyway and I'm sat in it right now.
