Good read.. For anybody wondering what the fans of Bristol City 1982 made of it, the answer is we are unimportant and insignificant on a thread with over 800 pages of us..

Very well written and although it’s not in the slightest biased either way it sums up so well why I’m proud to be a Gashead and not an 82er. Interesting that I sent a link to two of my shithead mates saying it’s a good read and they haven’t replied. The truth is being the richer wealthier mainstream club isn’t an advantage over the alternative, smaller and more passionate club when you put the history in to words like this has been written, I think we come off better and I can’t imagine many Sh1!heads reading it feel they have. They have a sugar daddy They have a better stadium They went from 30,000 to 3000 in 3 years We’re not that way. Rovers until I die. Up The Gas.

For all their advantages they still can’t shake us off. Despite all these things they have a 500 page thread, can’t help talking about us and are forever worried about what we could do if we had a quarter of their money or even a few of their advantages. Priceless really. UTG!

Bristol Rovers is a football club that can’t be killed. History has proven it. Bristol city were a club that died at the first sign of trouble.

They refer to us as '15ers and their 863 page thread is a remorseless water take, generally using ammo which we feed them on a regular basis...tbh most of it is light hearted and often quite witty, if you can ignore the essential truth lurking behind most posts.

The essential truth being, they still feel the need to come on our board and post bollox to make them feel better about their consistent inability to capitalise on all the advantages they have.

We can’t survive much longer the way we are going,sh1t ground, unattractive football with bad results,no sign of any ambition and the atmosphere gets more toxic every week with no communication from the owners and crap football, can’t see DC lasting much longer if football and results don’t start improving. If they let DC carry on with the current football and bad results that only proves they couldn’t give a monkeys about the gas.😪

Sorry harley, can’t agree. Yes we’re on a bad run and DC is having a tough time but in a way that’s the point of the article and the thread. We have always had these times. Blimey we’ve all seen the **** ground, unattractive football with bad results, owners getting stick and some poor managers (DC isn’t one of them!) in our time but we survive and we always will. Can understand what you’re saying at the end, presumably aimed at the owners who appear not to give a monkey’s. Fortunately the fans, lots of the players do care and tbh this is nowhere near as bad as it has been. And that’s what the threads about, the club that just keeps going in the face of few advantages and lots of disadvantages in a two-club City. UTG!

8th fiercest ? First for me , sod all the others !
Think we will always attract enough support - we are more dangerous than the 82ers , not everyone wants a cosy franchise swathed in a sense of entitlement of sleeping giant mentality because once they made the first division
F&ck the gap
Rather be forever in a shadow than forever paranoid - end of 16/17 season when they were flirting with relegation and we were only 7 league places apart - absolutely sh** themselves
The gas will rise again I'll wager

It clearly wasn’t because they wanted or needed him in their team

We call them the 82ers because they turned their backs on their club in their darkest times. They call us the 15 ers because we stood strong and supported our club during our darkest time. Makes sense lol.

Your club matey went out of business in 1982, we didn't go out business in 2015.Incidentally we went out of the league in 2014 so calling us the 15'ers is completely laughable on 2 counts.
