As both teams have already qualified for the next round there is even less point in going tonight. I wonder how many will bother to go. More importantly, bearing in mind that we played two days ago does DC have to field a team of first team regulars under the rules of the competition or if he doesnt, have to pay another fine.

I hear Chewbacca is right up for tonight's game and is offering to drive the coach down there. All he wants in return is a photo of him stood next to the cup.

Should not be a problem to pick a team of players without breaking the rules considering the number of players who have played for us this season. In fact I would have thought we were the team most unlikely to break the rules with all the changes DC makes every game.

I thought I would go. It’s a 35 minute walk from my house. Apparently, it’s cheap to enter tonight.

DC has played pretty much full strength so far in this competition. But with a game only two days ago and another midweek game next week I hope to see a fair few changes.
A few first team players will probably have to start because of the rules.

It shows what a farce the competition is when we’re actually playing just 2 days after our last first team game, that would never happen with a league game with the possible exception of a bank holiday in the Christmas period.
If the FA or EFL (whoever’s in charge of this shambles of a competition) don’t expect teams to make big changes to their side just 48 hours after the last game then they need sacking as it would be detrimental to the players fitness and possibly health.

A few first team players will probably have to start because of the rules. It doesn't seem right that Barnet can play Hartlepool next Sunday and both get their replays put back to Wed so they get 3 days recovery but we have to play Sun and Tues. Why couldn't this game have been rearranged for tomorrow?

It's only the Checkatrade nonsense cup, so common sense goes out of the window. Sunderland are playing tonight and they kicked off later than us on Sunday.

The club has decided to pay the fine then ! Good - our key players will be rested in readiness for asaturday.

That's refreshing - just hope it doesn't result in a stupid fine!
Edit - surprised that Bonham isn't playing to help out the back four a little more than perhaps Smith does.

Interesting line up, I believe we'll be due a fine because of this? Still, if the club would rather take the hit and go with the youth team, fine by me!

Quite excited by the selection with so many young players playing in what for them at least is a very big match. Hope they do well.

Good luck to Zain Walker making his debut!
Hope Deon Moore and Harry Warwick get some minutes.

Where’s Broadbean then, if he’s not playing in this game he must be injured surely?

Looks like Exeter are putting their kids out too ! Perhaps there has been some behind the scenes discussion and agreement. It makes the competition exactly what it should be - something where lower league teams can develop their youth and squad players

Looks like a fine to me. At least four of the starting eleven excluding the goalkeeper must be players in the top ten league appearances at the club this season.
