Last night was very disappointing but we were never going to win it the cup that is. I think its more embarrassing than anything else just taken a load of crap this morning !! A good result at Charlton & a win against Gillingham and this will be erased from our memories we are not a million miles off just need a bit of confidence and some of our experienced players to step up fine lines between winning & losing I feel for DC at the moment we are not performing' too many not turning up difficult one IMO we are not playing bad football just a bit of luck & a few decisions go our way would make all the difference I've been watching rovers for over 30 years and I've got to say DC's style of football is some of the most enjoyable I've Witnessed everybody is blaming the transfers/owners etc.. but it's a business that's losing a lot of money & bankers are not going to allow that So the question is does he pursue with the experienced players hoping they turn it around or give fringe/development players a chance ? I think there is something on the horizon there has got to be but the silence is not helping if DC has not turned it round by Jan there will be funds to change it DC is very good at smoke & mirrors damping down expectation IMO the experienced players will come through keep the faith UTG Of course we were never going to win the cup but we were 1-0 at home against a non league team, 15 minutes from full time, with the prospect of a home tie with another non league team from the division below and the best chance of getting into the third round for years and the possibility of a big Day out and a big pay day. That's why there has been this reaction, that and the fact that we're in the relegation zone, we have forwards who can't score and a manager who doesn't appear to know how to improve things. This is not disrespectful to DC as many people think, it's just the cold hard facts and many people just don't think DC can get us out of it. Of course people are respectful of what he's done but how long does that credit last, until we're relegated? Into next season when we've had another Summer where all we get is DC moaning? All the players he signed over the Summer have had good careers, most came from clubs above us, Payne and Reilly scored plenty of goals, so what goes wrong with these players when they come here? That's not down to the owners or the supporters, whatever colour tinted glasses they wear, it's down to the coaching staff. I have always been a supporter of DC but I think he may just have gone as far with us as he can. I'd love to be wrong, and if he stays and if we end up mid table or above, please feel free to cast this post up, but wanting a change is not being disrespectful to DC, it's facing the situation we're in and saying we think something needs to change on the pitch and the only way that is going to happen is a change of manager, and probably the whole coaching staff.

Which is totally against the policy that DC introduced, the hungers gone.

I still don't believe sacking DC would be beneficial long term. But as every game passes by, more and more fans, myself included, are edging the other way. I think the one clear and obvious thing is that there is not any clear and obvious action that will cure the problems we're in. -DC is struggling -The board are non existent -The team are woefully inconsistent, - largely down to a lack of goals. But what can we even do about that right now Its an utter mess from top to bottom and as it stands it's going to take a minor miracle to avoid the drop... What will any other manager do that DC can't though? At best, be able to organise and motivate differently. At worst, will want to change huge chunks if personnel which we clearly can't afford to do. For much of last night we played well indefence and ok in midfield. We played on the floor, passed and usually moved and after about 30 minutes I was amazed! We hadn’t booted it up front to Tom N but played it on the floor and whilst we sometimes lacked the final ball had Bennett’s shot gone inside of the post instead of hitting it.... Fine margins as I always seem to say this season.😭 But you are right about the struggle DC is having and it seems to me that he’s doing it by himself. No board, no leadership on the field. Almost a perfect storm I’m afraid. A total mess but DC shouldn’t be sacked imo. Can’t see what good that would do at the moment. We’re 4th bottom, not bottom so it looks bad but not a total disaster, yet! So yes z1zou, good post agree with it. UTG!
