The only thing he could have said to make fans happier this morning is a long the lines of "I can see as a squad we are desperately short of quality in certain areas of the pitch and rest assured, I will be giving DC a large budget in January to rectify this" It is nice to know he is actually still paying attention to our results but it doesn't excuse the fact that nothing is being said on actually putting some money into the club to progress it. He can’t do that if we’ve hit the ffp limit though can he ? I don’t know what our playing budget is this season but looking at the amount of signings we’ve made I’d imagine it’s around the same as last year. Not Waels fault they’re not good enough or their not trying hard enough or whatever we say is wrong. In league one you can gift a club money, but he won't because the 8% SC shareholding won't match the millions that Dwane Sports intend to pump in...or some such nonsense...

Might also have something to do with the millions they are already paying! So we want to increase our debts? What if they decided not to fund us in 6 months time??

They don’t fund us now they just add to our debt to them it is like a mortgage and what previous posters have neglected to say is that if the credit line is eventually exhausted foreclosure looms

Easy answer: sell us to someone who will!! I find it very worrying the talk of the price they have put on the club being exorbitant. I would hope for some humility that they would accept they made a bad business decision to get involved and sell at a modest loss but this being investment bankers I rather fear they are still determined to make a profit on what, so far, has been a pretty bad job of running a football club.

This lot are sleepwalking us back to the conference and people that slated Higgs but defend the AQs are badly misguided. From where I'm standing nothing's changed apart from that god awful corner tent on the terrace and a lick of paint in the bar. Biggest false dawn in the club's history.

If no one else will?? It will take mega bucks to make a difference. It's not as easy as putting in one of payment to increase our SCMP amount. They would have to do it every season, unless we want player's to sign one year deals! Or how will we pay them next season?? They have raised the budget the right way. Doubling the sponsorship deals, trying to make ground amendments, to bring in extra revenue etc. First round cup exits every season, don't help though. Performances on the pitch, lowering attendances don't help either! So they are paying millions a season, but it's not good enough???

Looks like they're wheeling out their 'spokeman' again. Actually feel for the bloke. They wheel him out as a smoke mirror every time pressure on them mounts.

It would be interesting to know where our actual playing budgets lies compared to the rest of the Div 1 club's, given we took players off Shrewsbury & also would have taken one from Walsall you have to assume we were prepared to pay higher wages than those two clubs but we're miles behind them quality wise, can you see our bunch going to Salford and winning 3-1? if we are already losing £1m+ per season can we really expect any owners, NH, the ALQ's or newcomers to spend more each season when they seems little prospect of them ever getting it back?

I guess it's not a bad job for £70K a year? Perhaps he'll surprised us and say talks to sell the club are at an advanced stage, or DC's got the dreaded vote of confidence?

Yep, throwing him to the wolves again, but having said that it is what he is paid for. I suspect he doesn't very much enjoy having the responsibility of being the spokesman for a board that don't seem to have a clue.

I don't think Wael knows how to run a League I club, he appears to be running the club more like his beloved Chelsea bringing in back room staff we don't need a Chief Executive we don't require, Starnes has come in and nothing has changed all the improvements to the Mem had already been organised before he turned up. We even had bunny girls at the entrance to the West Stand at one point those have now gone. It appears from the accounts that the AQS are subsidising the clubs wage bill, so they are putting money into the club, but at the same time increasing out debt, when there is no more money to come from transfers and the debt exceeds our assets we will be one step from going bankrupt. They couldn't even get a straight forward application to convert some barns into residential properties right, worked with planning for 15 years rarely would you get an application where an important report had been totally omitted from an application going to committee, though that is partly fault of the agents. If we get new owners in we need someone who knows how to run a league 1 club, I have a feeling Starnes was brought to help with this but the Chairman should be able to run the club. When was this? I don't remember seeing them. They hopped off 🐰

Not so bad if he is answering questions, but if it’s just more of the same “can’t say anything, legal issues” then he really shouldnt bother. I am going to text and ask about the training ground.
