The facts! If at work I only met less than 25% of my targets I would be sacked. And 2 of those wins were 39 and 40 games ago. Just saying.

That's a very sobering statistic for those who think DC is the best man for the job.
His win ratio is only slightly better than Nichol's goalscoring ratio over a similar distance. Coincidence?

That's part of the problem he is in a win win situation he either keeps his job or gets a payoff it's only us who loose but how long of this contract is left

I agree this stat is not good, but like most stats it can be used to back up one particular side of an argument. Eight wins excludes the work done over four years a d also the circumstances in which the club, and therefore DC, are in.
Equally valid a stat is two promotions in four seasons. Again though, that excludes the current season.
Stats are fine and certainly an indicator. But they can never be used to accurately tell the whole story.

No chance that we'd be paying up the remaining contract - 12m at best.

No chance that we'd be paying up the remaining contract - 12m at best. Most EFL contracts contain a clause that if you are sacked you get 12 months salary paid monthly

Most EFL contracts contain a clause that if you are sacked you get 12 months salary paid monthly Maybe they don’t even want to be doing that. Young promising manager doing well at the time, championship clubs sniffing around. I reckon they were scared to lose him at the time in case he could get us to a championship payday ($$ in the boards eyes) and so they offered him a mad contract. Wouldn’t surprise me if they offered him very decent wages as well as the 5 years

DC is the first to admit this season he's not been good enough. The poor form also extends further back into last season, since we lost Bodin who was by far our most likely goal-getter.
Our recruitment has turned out to be poor, our results have been poor. You'd be hard-pressed to find any Gashead who would disagree with that.
However, I like to take into account the bigger picture of everything that DC has achieved, which includes two finishes in L1 that were in my eyes higher than we had a right to expect given that we had only 2 seasons previous been in the Conference. He does not become a bad manager overnight, and he deserves more time to turn it around and try to make amends for the mistakes he's made so far this season. I do think though that the lies and garbage he and us fans were fed about the stadium and training ground, have affected DC's morale and thereby may well be affecting his performance. For that I can't say I'm surprised, he could be managing one of the biggest teams in the country right now, if he'd taken the chance when his stock was at its highest. Instead he's presiding over a relegation-threatened team with facilities to rival the very worst in the Football League, with no hope for any tangible progress that he was led to believe was just around the corner. I'd be pretty low if that were me as well. It's a credit to him that he's soldiering on and I for one would be thrilled to see him succeed in keeping us up. Not just because I'm a Gashead and I want to see us succeed, but also because I want DC to succeed. He deserves success for everything he's done for us, and for the continued honesty and integrity he shows every week. I still remember the utter tripe McGhee, Graydon, Atkins, Ward, Thompson etc would come out with in post match interviews. DC was a breath of fresh air when he arrived and he still is. Mark my words, when he does go, we'll miss him in so many ways.

It wasn't lies and garbage at the time though, was it? If they didn't have the funds to make either project happen, then yes it was lies and garbage.

DC is the first to admit this season he's not been good enough. Not sure that`s true. Midlandgas started saying it back in 2008.
