It's very good & I'm happy that people are still going. I was saying to my Gashead mate at the Mariners last night, if I was back in Bristol I'd love going to all the away games. But I'd say Luton broke a fair few records last season.

Great numbers, but we were very quiet yesterday.
Bad day at the office singing wise.

Our support this season, home and away, is phenomenal and a credit to the loyalty and consistency of fans who stick by the club through thick and thin. Just to spoil it, I will also say that the further and faster a club falls, the more of a (relative) giant it becomes. Rovers in League One are a normal club, in League Two a big club, in the Conference we are giants. The impressive thing is that the following has remained stable.

I tell you what it has softened the humiliation of relegation out of the league and given us something to be proud of again. I think it will also rebuild the connection between fan and player that has been lost over the many dismal season gone and help turn the Mem into a good place to be again.

1255 of us there and only 2 flippin urinals....
to say that my bladder was given a serious test both before the game and at half time would be an understatement. i'm actually relieved that I only squeezed in 3 beers before kick off....

Lol it was bad- I queued up at half time only to find I couldn't go when I got there!

I wish people would stop reminding us of our away attendances, just serves to remind me how we should never be in this league.

Thats how much we have been failed by those running the club and thats why i live in hope that someone with a bit of money will spot our potential.

Looking at their crowds, in the 4th division, is like seeing a hippo sitting down to tea with mice. We are not alone in our failure.

Looking at their average attendance in 1981/82 when they were in the third division, it was 8544. Their relegation season from the prem was 18,249, and 15,461 last season. Ours was 6,420 last season, 7171 the season Pompey were relegated from the Prem, and 5402 back in 1981/82. Pompey have been successful compared to us.

Loud when we actually did sing, mehewmagic, but silent for long periods of the game.

Not sure what effect it would have had on these statistics, but our ground cappacity does not allow us to have as large crowds as Pompey.
