DC was sacked for breaking the wall of silence over both the running of the club and future plans to cut to the bone. You've just made that up, haven't you?

Nothing more, nothing less.

Weve been sh** for 18 months yet the day after he says no stadium, no training ground and cuts hes sacked We've not lost 4-0 at home and been in the relegation zone for 18 months. We've not had a decent number of fans wanting him out for 18 months. We've not had DC admitting he has underperformed for 18 months.

Protest for sacking Clarke? Yes we haven’t got the stadium but they didn’t want a deal where uwe would still own the land and then hike up the rent? The training ground was a big loss but if we can’t afford it then we can’t afford it and rather see money spent on players They sold our best players that wanted to leave and would have for nothing if we didn’t Darrell had the best budget any rovers manager had in years and spent most of it on a player who was clearly on his way down the leagues and mediocre journeymen who are picking up the wages and not quality enough for top half league one Darrell’s away form has been shocking for years and never proved he was league one quality as a manager He clearly has no contacts in the game like other managers due to his only experience has been with us I think the club had to let him go and get someone in before the window so we can get rid of players and get some quality in time to save our season Don't you mean hope & pray rather than think that the new manager will get some quality in? Back to the OP who can hand on heart say they would have been looking forward to the next home game if we had got thrashed at Sunderland on Saturday which was seemingly likely? I was seriously thinking of giving it a miss now it's a game we can look forward to with at least a bit of optimism, as we can this Saturday's game. To suggest fans should turn up and protest because the owners sacked a manager who seem destined to take us down seems, at best, misguided to me. Apart from the Coventry game I don't recall enjoying watching one game at the Mem this season, Saturday's being probably one of the worse at the Mem since the Buckle era as, from memory, we didn't lose 4-0 at home even during our last relegation season.

Completely agree... I think everyone who’s been going to every home game would be lying to themselves if they didn’t think the same 2pm looking at the team selection just felt sickening every week looking at his team selections and formations at home and watch us go 2 -0 down to see if being changed again and then blame the club for not giving us a new stadium is crazy...we need to clean the slate and go again

Was announced on twitter last week by a fan that we had approached Flynn at Newport for the job. The source apparently was Flynn himself.

It’s still a sad day because a manager that’s given us so much has left. Hand on heart if I was our owner I might have done the same I don’t know because I’m not in that position but did I think DC could turn around our poor run of form that’s lasted nearly a year now ? Not really to be honest. A happy DC could have but not the DC we’ve had for a while now. Most good things come to an end at some point. That’s life.

The only protest I can see against the board is on how long it took to get rid of him
