I am never ever in the know. BUT by a stroke of luck someone I know well is well connected at a premier league club. I posted something on the BRFC appreciation page and to my surprise he saw it and commented. 'great things to come' as he put it... intrigued. hehe nice try

Totally agree with that. If there was good news around the corner, surely Wael would have had a word in DC's ear. There is no new stadium. The training ground is an 'aspiration' (CEO's words today). There will be no investment in either the Mem or the squad. Budget to be cut even further next year. L1 is our Premier League. Rag Bag Rovers for ever. As beaver132 said, it's the hope that kills you. Why if they wanted him to leave, as he's underperforming, would they tell him??? If they wanted to keep him they might, otherwise they wouldn't lol. Not saying anything is happening though, but I don't think they would tell him either way. I'd have thought if they had an ounce of care or respect for the man that brought us consecutive promotions followed by 2 midtable finishes (not to mention the fact that he is the manager of the first team), they would want to impart any good news they had onto him, as any sane person would think it would have the potential to lift morale and therefore potentially improve the performance of the team on the pitch. Hence why I think this is BS. If stadium news or training ground news or investment news was brewing and they didn't let on to DC, I would be disgusted with them.

Sounds like we're going to become a feeder club for Chelsea then Better than being a feeder club for the teds all things considered.

Not if the good news in question is that Pep Guardiola is joining us just after Christmas

Jomo, I don't know if this is BS, or what was meant by it. I know the bloke, worked with and trusted him in some dodgy situations, so I simply repeat what he said.

FFS not another bulls..t riddle mate, it's not a riddle, because if it is, at this moment I don't know the answer. I simply repeat his comment, and I trust the guy. That's it.

No promises, like I say, I'm not walking the corridors of power, or even holding the door open, I'm just hoping for something to make stuff better. My mate does seem certain that were in for great things though.

I posted something on the BRFC appreciation page and to my surprise he saw it and commented. 'great things to come' as he put it... intrigued. Sorry, no. If anything good was likely to happen, DC would have surely been informed, and he wouldn't have given his honest assessment of how far up s**t creek we are after the Donny game. I will not be taken in by anymore WUMs pretending that something good is around the corner. It's time to nip that in the bud. It's the hope that kills you and in a way I'm quite glad that I no longer have any hope that Rovers will go beyond L1 mediocrity at best. At least I now know where I stand. DC was informed, he said so himself. He also said he didn't believe it.
