I am never ever in the know. BUT by a stroke of luck someone I know well is well connected at a premier league club. I posted something on the BRFC appreciation page and to my surprise he saw it and commented. 'great things to come' as he put it... intrigued.

If anything good was likely to happen, DC would have surely been informed, and he wouldn't have given his honest assessment of how far up s**t creek we are after the Donny game. I will not be taken in by anymore WUMs pretending that something good is around the corner. It's time to nip that in the bud. It's the hope that kills you and in a way I'm quite glad that I no longer have any hope that Rovers will go beyond L1 mediocrity at best. At least I now know where I stand.

If there was good news around the corner, surely Wael would have had a word in DC's ear. There is no new stadium. The training ground is an 'aspiration' (CEO's words today). There will be no investment in either the Mem or the squad. Budget to be cut even further next year. L1 is our Premier League. Rag Bag Rovers for ever. As beaver132 said, it's the hope that kills you.

Would you spend 2k on having plans drawn up for an extension on your house if you had no current funds to actually build it or no way of getting the funds? In the words of Yatton gas “it ain’t happening lads “

In the words of Yatton gas “it ain’t happening lads “ If I had the money to purchase the land and then go public about developing a training ground on it, then yes I most certainly would. You can't really compare a significant business project with dozens of employees and tens of thousands of supporters hanging off your words, to a private home extension, can you? But if we must, then let me say that if I had aspirations to build an extension, what I would first do is some research. Figure out how much it would cost, drawing up plans, construction costs, what sort of legalities I had to consider, planning regulations. What sort of companies would I have to call to make enquiries and to draw up plans. Research into timescales. After performing my research I would assess whether it was viable for me. This I would do all BEFORE telling every man and his dog about how amazing my extension was going to be!! It's not f**king rocket science. The owners have no justification for the cockup that is the Colony, in my opinion.

They don’t have the backing to progress and should have done the research before purchasing the land. They are bumbling their way through being owners of a football club and we the fans are the ones who suffer again.

Let's not forget, at the AGM in March this year, they stated that the Planning Application for the Colony would be submitted "within the next 6 to 8 weeks". Blatant lies.

Time for them to shape up or ship out.

I said that we would find there were scores of managers capable of taking us back to the conference. The reply was that this 100 percent wouldn't happen, that he knew us well down here and there were 'great things to come'. I was amazed tbh and have asked for anything more, but have also promised not to divulge anything given in confidence. confidence. Iwill say is that I'll post a big smiley face (or a sad one) depending on anything I get....

Not saying anything is happening though, but I don't think they would tell him either way.
