Based on this thread and those that have gone before it I'm not sure there's ever been a player or manager that has split the fanbase right down the middle quite like Ollie.

Some people thought he was a lady garden, the rest thought he was a c@ck. Apart from one night in Cheltenham of course. "F*ck of Mourhinio......"

Much like you use every oppertunity to criticise Ollie. And also in reply to LJ Hashead. I was at a jury's and witnessed Holloway's criticism of the owners and BOD of BRFC oner something that was none of his business. It was cheap and disgraceful This is the player who despite all the chest thumping, badge kissing City baiting RTID sh1t, twice walked out on the club when something better came along and who, as the manager, asked to be sacked(As confirmed by Geoff Dunford) so he could get his payoff, then immediately joined QPR as their manager. This is the player who as manager will bleed either blue, Green and white or tangerine blood when he's cut, but curiously prefers QPR to win a match against the Gas, even though he's made a career out of being a professional Bristolian which has resulted in the rest of the country thinking that Bristolian are gurning, corn-chewing simpletons. I suggest you look up the definition of die-hard, martyr and any other of the ridiculous superlatives used to describe Holloway, then compare then with Charlatan. Fxxx me! Yeah this is pretty much exactly the sort of thing I mean. You saw him in a bar once, well done. Oh and I think the word you were looking for was "Human being".

I would not understand any Rovers fan who saw Olly play or manage us having anything but total respect and love for the bloke, he only left to better himself and play at the highest level and to make the best of life for his family, i suspect that most of those who slag him off base there opinions on his media work and the image it portrays, the man deserves to be up there with the best of Rovers legends ,end of!!!!

I thought Ollie was sacked, did he leave on his own a cord then?

If you want to belittie me with comments then be my guest. I can assure you it's water off a ducks back. i know what I heard him say, and more importantly, the way he said it. I have formed an opinion of his charectar as a result of observing him for the duration of his professional life. It clearly doesn't chime with your view, and thats something we will have to accept. I am satisfied that I have amassed sufficient evidence to form an opinion, and that's what I've done. from one Human being to another.( one of whom has no Charlatan radar)

From what I can see nobody disputes he was a good footballer and most rovers managers have their detractors even DC amazingly. I think it's as a media figure he divides oppinion and that's probably the same for most media figures.

Ollie will always divide opinion amongst the fanbase, there is no dispute about his playing career with the Gas.
As a manager I believe he allowed inter-player activity to undermine a golden opportunity to take the club to the (giddy) heights of the Championship; since then he has become a bit of a comic book character.
I wont comment on his accent as mine is no better, but he is the past lets concentrate on supporting the current management and the players out to the end of the season. UTG
