the comments on continuity aswell! Very much agreed the 3 c’s wasn’t it? Class statement and what I’ve been crying out for for months! it's all well and saying the "tinkering" was working and it did for a while "if it's not broken don't fix it" however the methodology was clearly broken.. we were crying out for a settled side amongst other things, massive improvement within 2 games! Forward we move UTG!

Must say GC has already impressed me; however, does he have the contacts to bring in the players we will need to stay in the first division ? now looking forward to Walsall; certainly give him the next three games. In any event, I would not want to see either Coterill or Sturrock; Ollie for me if GC is not successful.

GC Speaks very well indeed and seems a thoroughly likeable and down to earth character, and more importantly he seems to be really enjoying the challenge of managing this club, albeit temporarily. I would be happy for them to give him until the end of the season to see how he gets on. He's proven he can get the players playing more positively, and a new face may just unsettle the squad which is exactly what we do not need right now. Reassess in the summer and potentially reappoint looking to the long term objective.

Early days but promising signs are emerging. This is a results business and if GC starts picking up wins and the team play attractive football the club will appoint him. I thought from the off that it is GC's job to lose and if he doesn't win another game over Christmas the board will have to look elsewhere.

Results are ultimately the key requirement for any manager...however I feel that the club does need an outspoken manager to keep pressure up on the board to progress the club off the pitch. The club now more than ever needs a manager who is not a yes man or a puppet. Not sure if this Coughlan guy has that sort of attitude.

There needs to be clout somewhere. If coughlan gets the job I think we need a DOF.
Step in Mr Holloway

Sorry, but the club employ the manager and he will have to follow the line that they set. No board will accept a manager running them down in public for too long. DC got away with it because of his past achievements and popularity with the fans. No other manager will be allowed to act that way. Whilst we all want the new stadium etc. I Essentially want the manager to produce a winning team, it's not his remit to openly call out the owners.

We don’t need a manager who’s constantly arguing and putting pressure on the board at all in my opinion. We need a manager who’s happy , concentrating on his job and getting the team playing to their ability . GC is doing that and that’s why we’ve improved.

Keep football and off the field activities separate!!! I’m happy as Larry right now, couldn’t have cared if the stadium was falling down when you watch games like that!

For me, he's as good a shout - if not better - than the names mentioned/that appear to be in the running.
Not saying he's definitely the messiah, just that he's quite possibly the best out of what's available - and, who knows - he could even turn out to be an exceptional manager.
