Tony Craig is a beast. All of our players make mistakes from time to time. Yes he's a little older but statistically our defence is stronger with him in it than it was without him. Yes we're in the relegation zone but in previous seasons we've had a relegation fodder goals against and a promotion form goals for. Now we've got the opposite and we're in trouble because its a much bigger problem being unable to score than being unable to defend as you can still win games with the latter. Not Tony's fault. Spot on.

It will take a lot more than that. He did his best to muck it up by giving the ball away countless times in the middle of the park and taking an age to make the simplest of pass but always choosing the wrong option. Does posting the same thing over and over again make it a fact? No. Him doing it constantly on the pitch in front of thousands of people makes it a fact. Obviously.

doesn't the Fleetwood goal take a deflection off Lockyer?

Surprisingly calm finish for the last kick of the game from a full back. Left footed too. Reminded me a bit off Browners goal v Daggers I can never understand when people in here have said this season that James Clarke would be in their get rid list. He’s been our best defender this season.

Craig makes a mistake now and again! Blimey if any of our players didn’t make mistakes they’d be in the PL. Fact is league 1 players make mistakes, that’s why they are in league 1. UTG!

Having a point of view I can respect. Love your posts normally 1981 but you and Tony Craig is beginning to look a lot like midland and DC! Stats show that our defence is better with him than without him, not that stats are everything. UTG!

But there’s a recognition that ability is limited to a lower league and you’re no longer good enough. If you watch last weeks sunderland goal and the 4 misplaced passes and the inability to recover those mistakes highlights. I’m just saying we need better to survive in this league let alone push on should we manage it.

UTG! Fair shout Wareham, and I’m always first to say if he’s had a good game and he’s made good contributions. But from where I sit most weeks the weak links stand out a mile. Craig, Upson and Nichols are those links for me.

Pretty much the same position I think!😀 UTG!

If we get a new manager[not coughlan] it will be interesting to see if yet another professional football person selects craig regularly.

Cheers Vyv Merry Christmas to you too. You'm welcome Tone. I reckon it is about time we at last get together for that 'artcliffe drink up. I will put extra pressure on Ray to get a meet up arranged.

I think Craig is 100% at his level playing for us. He makes mistakes surely but he has the basics nailed and a strong mental game too. What we should be looking for is not to get rid of him now, but rather, find someone better to replace him with.

It's not coincidence that James Clarke is enjoying his best season for us.

Hes only got Broadbent and Menayese as competition though....personally I think we should give him a go, everytime he has played he's looked very competent but apparently he is going out on loan in Jan, or at least he said he was.
