Not to hear that we will 'dust ourselves down' each week. I loved D.C. but in the end his interviews were very predictable. After listening to Karl Robinson 's Interview after today's game though I truly believe honesty is the better policy! He spoke the biggest load of bollox I have ever heard!! We were lucky to have had D.C. but the king is dead long live the king!!

I was one the 'Sacking DC is the worst thing that could ever happen to us' brigade but I am slowly coming around to thinking that whilst I will always be eternally grateful to him maybe it was time for a change. The players who should have been in the first team every week but were constantly changed now have stability and it shows in our results. Football is a fickle game, with fickle players, fickle owners, fickle management and of course, fickle fans. The one constant is our love of Bristol Rovers- no matter who owns, manages or plays for them. COYB UTG

I think you could say that all managers post match interviews become predictable after a couple of seasons, some a lot quicker than that.

I love listening to Darren Way, it’s always entertaining listening to him droning on the bloke is an absolute bellend!

COYB UTG My frustration is that the changes have been simple - things must have really got to DC and MS not for them to have seen them. Simple 442, the strikers with the most potential up front, sticking with a winning side, using wingers properly. I was gutted that DC went, but it seems he must have got in a complete muddle and forgotten the simple stuff. GC has gone for a very straight-forward approach and it has taken players who were under-performing (having seen Upson before and after he looks like the player we thought he was when he signed) and got them playing football again. The wing play at Walsall was the best id seen for quite some time, like we were flying high in league and at home.
Im frustrated that DC couldnt or wouldnt see this. What a shame his tenure ended like that.

Yeah same - it's one thing to make a tactical tinker game-to-game but wholesale changes and dropping of players who had done well combined with playing others out of position was just bizarre - we could all see it. As you say, a real shame his tenure ended that way. The DC of 2015-16 wouldn't have recognised the DC of 2018. Hopefully he gets his head together, gets back to basics, and finds success with another club in the future.

COYB UTG football is a simple game too - as GC spelt out when he took charge - a thing that DC sadly lost sight of - maybe due to recent coaching qualifications blurring his approach to L1 football ?

Loved DC, gutted we have lost him but tbh even I'm now thinking that DC going was the best thing for the club. Sadly he looked a broken man and I hated seeing him like that....
