Very keen on GC now but I would be disappointed if he didn’t get a mentor figure, ideally Olly in some shape or form A bit of homework reveals that GC has worked under Paul Sturrock and Phil Brown. Both of those have been experienced names in the football world so why would he need another mentor. Surely most coaches want to have a crack at management. GC has openly said he does and would no doubt refuse to work under Olly. I think it’s GC that is holding the trump cards atm. He’s never had a crack of the whip at recruitment. And he has openly said in his interview yesterday there are situations he doesn’t know how to deal with. Someone like Olly would be able to let him worry about the coaching and give him a guiding hand on some of the matters he is new at such as managing/disciplining players gone rogue.

When DC left, or was pushed, I do not know which ?, I was really ****** off, and wanted a Holloway / Penrice option until the end of the season; to be honest, I did not even know GC was working at BRFC, and thought Chris Hargreaves would have been given the temporary position, that said, GC has stepped up, talked sense, picked and kept players who have played well in the side, and won 3 games on the bounce, which for me is good enough to be the caretaker manager until the end of the season.
