Barnet have pulled off a coup by bringing in England youth goalkeeper Will Huffer from Leeds on loan. Got a lot of potential.
I reckon new manager Darren Currie could do a good job there after learning the ropes previously under John Still.

Omar Bogle has signed for Portsmouth on loan from Cardiff.
Carlisle have signed Blackpool's Mark Cullen on loan until the end of the season.
More clubs doing business whilst we sit on our hands. zzzz

Jason Cummings could be the man apparently going to a league 1 club Hmm another Peterborough dud that they are looking to get rid of after only scoring 2 goals since September? Step forward Bristol Rovers I guess. Say what you like about Peterborough but they don't lack for ambition. They are the total opposite of Bristol Rovers in every metric possible. Scandalous to think that they operate on crowds a few thousand lower than us and yet they dream bigger and harder than we could ever hope to.

Rovers had plans to install a revolving door to cope with the amount of players coming and going during the transfer window. Unfortunately, there have been problems with the bespoke design and the project has been held up by the suppliers, or something like that. Instead, the club have reverted to the old two door policy where one door is for incoming, and the second door is for outgoing. However, the incoming door is locked, and nobody seems to be able to find the key. The key suppliers have been struggling to manufacture a bespoke key for the door, so only the outgoing door is operating.

There is a tremendous amount of work going on behind the scenes to make sure we release as many players as possible. Those budget cuts don't happen on their own y'know.

Although I agree gas365, they have a much bigger budget, because they have sold tens of millions of pounds worth of talent in the last 7-8 years. Tomlin and Assombalonga was over £10m alone. But yes, they are the polar opposite of us, in terms of looking forward with ambition.

Pompey won’t sell him when they’re chasing promotion and have nothing to lose. I’d hope we are in the market for that type of player though.

We're not going to sign anyone, 3 days and nothing, same old story, we're definitely not gonna get anyone decent this late in the day, our head of recruitment is really proving his worth isn't he? They're obviously downsizing the squad maybe preparing to cut our losses and getting us ready for league two.

Does anyone know if we are really making an effort to bring even one player in. It seems incredibly quiet.

Hell last year we even signed a player a day after the window and look at the uproar that caused when people thought DC and the board had failed to get their 2/3 players or whatever it was

Wtf?! I'd love us to sign him, how in the hell is he going to drop from promotion candidates to relegation battlers? If Oxford can get him in then I'm even more annoyed at our pathetic window. We couldn't even afford his bootlaces by the sounds of things.

Doesn't that just make it worse though? The fact that we take so long to actually sign anyone, when we should have signed someone earlier and potentially beat teams like Burton/Accy/Wycombe

Would love to see him here. 30 goals in 2 seasons for Oxford, 55 goals in 109 games for Luton. Proven at this level and at 29 experienced but not over the hill.
If he's available on a permanent we should do what we can to offer him a better deal.

1 would have joined over a week ago as well if he hadn't of scored and the club blocked the move
All I can do is take GC at face value on that, because he at least gave some reasoning Geography being one, player scoring etc, when he could have just waffled about working hard in vague terms

The issue is why have we been knocked back. Why does it keep happening to us? More specifically, why did we not go for this striker before? We should have enquirer on/if not before January 1st. But instead we leave it late, he goes and does well and we then start from square 1. In addition to this we need to have a pipeline that we are working on constantly. I’m in sales, if I approached 1 customer and waited for their reply before approaching the next customer, I’d be out of the job very quickly. You have to constantly be approaching everyone all the time & then bring in the best you can get. Unfortunately we are reactive rather than proactive.

Sunderland have completed the signing of Grant Leadbitter on a permanent deal after he passed his medical on Monday.
As part of the deal, Leadbitter has agreed to take a pay cut to join the club in which he broke through the youth ranks in 2003.
