After a no deal Brexit they could all need a visa! I’m sure that will be used an excuse down the line. Just like the last recession stopped our stadium being built all those years ago but it's true. It happens for non-EU footballers (Nigel Pierre being a good example close to home) and we are no longer going to be in the EU
Which players do need work permits?
Footballers from outside the EU must still obtain a work permit if they wish to play for English football clubs. Every non-EU footballer must successfully apply for a Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) with the FA before the Home Office will consider issuing a work permit.
The system has recently been tightened and now only non-EEA players who are internationally established at the highest level, and whose employment will make a significant contribution to the development of their sport at the highest level, are allowed to play in the UK. One of the reasons for the rule change was that only 58% of football players who were given work visas played any top-flight football in their second season.
What are the criteria which will be used?
Until 2015, football players needed to have played in at least 75% of their country’s senior international matches over the previous two years to play in the UK. Eligibility for a GBE now depends on a national team’s FIFA ranking, as follows:

Job roles change. Chris Hargreaves was Development Squad manager and now is Assistant for the first team. Graham Coughlan is of course now our manager. We have Widdrington now. No reason why Dutton might not just be on first team duties. No need for this witch hunt thread Agree. Would rather he be helping GC to coach the team. We’ve got no money for signings anyway.😉 UTG! Exactly, why waste money on looking for new avenues of recruiting players when we won't recruit any anyway! Sadly this is probably not far from the truth and smacks of the sort of short sighted penny pinching that I've seen before companies I've worked for.

Good news then. Always hear people saying English kids are not getting opportunities so this should help.

Some cracking realistic players abroad that would improve us. Manuel Fischnaller (Catanzaro), Manuel Farrona Pulido (VfL Osnabruck), Sebastian Klaas (VfL Osnabruck), Aldin Turkes (Rapperswil-Jona), Rufat Dadashov (Prussian Munster), Valmir Suljemani (Waldorf Mannheim), Marcus Mendler (Saarbrucken), Accursio Bentivegna (Carrarese), Alessandro Mastalli (Juve Stabia), Luigi Canotto (Juve Stabia), Alessio Miceli (Feralpisalo), Nick Brisevac (Eintracht Norderstedt), Aitor Bunuel (Racing Santander), Juanjo Nieto (Hercules), Juho Hyvarinen (RoPS), Andrew Lyons (Bohemians), Israel Puerto (CD Mirandes), Robert Gucher (Pisa), Willi Evseev (Hansa Rostock), Sigurdur Egill Larusson (Valur), Mirza Halvadzic (Mjallby AIF), Yacine Qasmi (UD Melilla), Marvin Pourie (Karlsruher), Jari Vandeputte (Viterbese), Sascha Bigalke (Unterhaching). You have some rubbish here, just take Nick Brisevac (Eintracht Norderstedt) for example, 3 goals in 22 matches in the German version of non league. Aged 26, just what we need.

I wouldn't call Regionalliga the "German version of non-league" tbf, however Nord is certainly one of the weaker Regionalliga. Hard to garner what level it is comparable to here.

I've seen him 4 or 5 times and he is impressive. Best player on the pitch against strong Huddersfield and West Ham teams too recently.

He was very impressive against strong West Ham and Huddersfield sides for his former club Altona 93. Takes a nice free kick too.

Another great window using overseas recruitment. A statement needs to be made why we employ someone for overseas recruitment and so far not one overseas player other than that Jordanian

He's coaching the first team with GC and CH is he not? Yeah, pretty sure he was brought in with Hargreaves and Coughlan after DC left. Not sure what role they gave him once Coughlan got to be permanent manager. On our website he is down as Assistant Development Squad Manager & Attacking Set-Piece Coach.

All joking aside could only happen at Bristol rovers. Shame really as I’m sure you could get better value for money abroad. Think a few other sides our sort of level have found it beneficial. Our last overseas signing must have been broghammer Don't forget our current manager is the first overseas manager to take the helm
