Signed on a free transfer for Mansfield. Weird how Stoke paid a fee for him, he was class in his first spell with us, at the time we probably would have bought him. Now he's gone for nothing.

Mansfield fans have been raving about him, apparently he’s replicated the form of his first loan spell with us there. Nice lad, always had good things to say about us so good luck to him.

Mansfield making some good signings and their chairman Radford is ambitious and putting money in to have a good go at promotion. Got a new £2 million+ training ground too.

Even after his 2nd spell id have tried to sign him. Previously showed us what he was capable of and is only 21.

Wouldn't it be nice for us to have a genuinely ambitious owner like that? Seems odd that we haven't been able to attract that in our existence despite being a club that could genuinely improve our standing significantly if given the right funds to develop the club off the pitch.

Teams like Mansfield will be miles (and leagues) ahead of us in only a few seasons, I know people bang on about us younger ones on here thinking we ‘deserve’ someone to throw money at us but it’s 2019, football has changed. People buy clubs now to actually throw money at it and get success that’s the whole point!
No club deserves it, but it happens.
Surely we can all agree at very least we deserve better than what we currently have. Still tinpot but somehow massively overspending and losing money year on year. After hearing Bennett is in the top 20 earners in League 1, on 5k p/w, it makes me feel like giving up on the club all together. Who the hell at the club is sanctioning that. He must surely be our highest paid player in history? Or if not very close behind the likes of Lambert just before he left.
Would much rather we were fan owned and self sustainable like Exeter or Pompey (before their new investors). Teams like Burton and Accrington are so much better run than us, I genuinely see no reason why we shouldn’t be running as well and in fact better with the size of our fan base.
Just such typical rovers to accept what we’re given and not do/say anything about it. Genuinely depresses me when clubs like Wimbledon Accrington Swindon Mansfield etc are building new training grounds and we’re literally stagnating and falling backwards, at this rate we’ll be back in the national league before we know it. We’re literally sleep walking as a club and fanbase.
People (including me) moan about the lack of signings but Dam hell look at our training ground, rented off someone else and not even capable of hosting the first team and development squad together, if I was a pro I’d rather take less money and go to a state of the art facility. I personally think a training ground is 100x more important than redeveloping the mem.
