A bit worrying he wasn't considered good enough by Coventry and not a position I felt really needed strengthening but hopefully he proves to be a good signing.
It says he's vastly experienced with over 400 appearances to his name but last season was his first in league 1 and he's played much of his career in the Conference.
Happy enough as long as a winger and striker follow him through the door.

Mutually terminated his contract at cov to allow us to get him on a free

Worth a punt on a free I reckon, if we had paid a fee for someone similar I'd not be as happy.

Very experienced player. Played at Wembley - maybe that's how the rumour started π But just moved to Cov on 3 year contract... Hmmmmm? "In May 2010, he was sentenced to eight month's imprisonment, suspended for eighteen months and ordered to perform 120 hours of unpaid community service, after pleading guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm in an assault in Croydon in August 2008." Thanks i won't be slagging him off on here there's only 3 Gas in pucklechurch πππππ

Sorry Luka Modric, we would sign you on a free but a striker is our priority.

More attritional approach to come from GC maybe? Battler for a relegation battle.

No mention of contract length? Presumably 18 months, in which case you'd think one or two of the other midfielders will be on their way either now or in the summer.
Either way, happy it's a permanent deal and looking forward to seeing that battling dynamism. Still need a striker and winger though.

Just what we need, a CDM who can't get into a League 1 team. Agree with the logic but looked good when I have seen him before for Shrewsbury. I was probably being a bit harsh in truth, just venting my frustrations. Lets see how he gets on. We all know we need him to hit the ground running

Please be the new Ronnie Mauge, things haven't been the same since he broke his leg!

Sorry Luka Modric, we would sign you on a free but a striker is our priority. We clearly don't have the luxury of bulking out the squad. Imo, we have good enough players in the middle of the park. Ogogo won't keep us up, a goalscorer Might. Let's say come 11pm we haven't signed any forward thinking players because we were short of funds. What would you say then.

Let's see when we get to 11, this deal looks reasonable to me.

No mention of contract left? Presumably 18 months Seems pretty cut and dry to me.

Good CDM.
Bags of energy, covers lots of ground and breaks up play well.
Striker and winger now, please.

At least he looks happier than Payne did when he joined!
