I thought he'd gone back there a second time when I saw the thread title.

Guess it's all about money. If Bennett is really on a £200k contract as rumoured then I doubt Swindle will want to pay £100k in wages for half a season. Suspect he will go in January but will still cost the club a big chunk of his wages better for us to hold out for a transfer to take him of wage bill. But would he take the likely pay-cut? "transfer" you're seriously having a laugh? Agreed not likely but I think Swindon might sign him if not for the big wage bill that might follow. The point I was was making is that wages are the likely block on a transfer.

He is 29 though. Surely he'd rather be playing and enjoying his football in League 2 than sitting on the bench in League 1 and snoozing his way to retirement It certainly seems like he enjoyed his time with Swindon but some are completely money oriented and I find that really quite sad yet the fact remains, footballer normally retire at an age where they still have lots of opportunities to do more and build businesses. Looking as far back as our own, & my favourite player, Brucie Bannister and the wages they got them yet he had the vision & nous to set up a thriving sports company. If KB is on the 4K pw that has been quoted then he can see his contact out and hope he has interest by the end of it but it’s a dangerous game to play. It doesn’t do his reputation much good eh

I’ve no idea but a fair few of the ITK posters often quote this amount Believing ITK's is your first mistake. On everything. I don’t believe anything until I have proof but there are one or two who seem to have got more thing right than wrong. My own experience is that there is much less leaking from the club now than that of when under the previous chairman but I guess that wouldn’t be too difficult as you didn’t have to dig too much, to get information. Reading the thread in the interview with our mayor has shown that we seem to have cut out a lot of the gossip and misinformation that used to be put out.

Can't see it. £200k a year? No chance. Lee Brown is now driving around in a flash brand new Range Rover and he's only a left back at Pompey, you can see their forwards easily being on £200K p.a. and KB wouldn't leave Pompey for a pay cut. Not sure what severance deal was agreed when he left Pompey but it I wouldn't be surprised if he's picking up £200K p.a. in total. There must be some reason he's happy to just sit on the bench and not join another club!

And to be close to family? There's no way Bennett is on £200k a year.

I'm not sure he's on anything like £4k a week. Ridiculous if he is. Of course it is. I’ve no idea but he must have had a good reason to tear up his Pompey contract to come here nearly two years ago. Either way I guess he’s one of our more “expensive” players. UTG!

It’s patently obvious those claiming to be aren’t and never have been . Just the stadium & takeover threads alone prove this !
